Dozens of people not getting their pre-orders with Toys Wonderland. Dozens of people getting terrible and unreliable customer service. A guy being told he hacked their website and saying he stole money from them and that they are going after him because he used reward points.

One guy is like, "I paid less than everyone else for a figure."

This ^

They actually got in trouble from queen studios for this and then had to quickly change the price. I thought this information was well known.
Well I guess toys wonderland might not be so horrible after all

You guys are making me feel worse 😂 Everybody got a bargain for this except for me and I was also here on the first day lol
This has been their business model at doing insanely absurd low prices that drives down the market. They mark that storm trooper down to $100, but then charge you $150 to ship it. This makes people not factor in shipping and think I should be able to get this on ebay for $100 too, how dare you charge $200 for this same figure.

This low price doesn't make TW not so bad after all. All of these people aren't necessarily guaranteed to still get their figure from them. Plus they may jack up the shipping even more for these people. Some of these people may have no issue at all and get the figure at a great price and decent time.

We aren't saying you will always be screwed over by them. Like one freak said on here, he never had a problem after almost 20 figures ordered and received. He would even defend them on here, until that day out of nowhere they wouldn't accept his reward points, took them away, and accused him of hacking their system to steal points while invoicing him almost $800 saying he better pay or else.

He probably did hack, but anyway...

Dear Toys Wonderland,

If you say your password in an email it actually turns it into stars, look! ******

Wow, ****** So cool.

Anyway, you should try it!

Sincerely,

TW still has a questionable track record. What was the figure that they couldn't fulfill?
Gametoys Cloud Strife was never delivered and I pre-ordered with them. Ended up having to pay double secondhand but I did get a refund without hastle. Present Toys Raider Jones they just told everyone whoopsies. Those are the only two I followed in particular.

Recently: Mars Toys MAT008 Mike - they can't get any stocks
Coming soon: Saturn Toys Dynamic Duo - Manufacturer told them that they won't supply them but they are still taking preorders

Oh yeah, that Indy figure. Thanks.

Hopefully no whoopsies for Joker.
My guess is anyone that bought early and paid in full may have no problem getting theirs. The problem I see coming is they never once closed the preorders so are they gambling in being able to pick up more in the after market or did they actually order so many that they haven't fully sold their orders, which would warrant them keeping it open so long.

The problems I've always seen people bring up have been mainly 3rd party figures that do well, like what BladeS mentioned.

Can someone fill me in, I'm confused...

Toyswonderland has sold the rooted for about £200 less than retail and the shipping is about $200 (£150ish)? How is that possible?

Funny you should mention TW. I have done one order with them and the figure showed up basically broken from the preowned listings. Now I have been given a refund for the rooted Joker because of the things I heard on this thread. But instead of full amount I got $60 shorted. Then I wake up this morning to hear that an order I made a month and a half ago was “lost in the mail”. They issued me a refund, but as before this refund was short $40. Funny thing is the “lost in yeh mail” order never had a tracking number so was it lost or they never had it? Anyway TW is sketchy af and I would second guess purchasing from there unless you like paying money for nothing and fake tracking numbers that seem to never get to the tracking stage.

I can understand a cancellation fee, but how the f can they charge you for losing an item? And yet they'll go after someone else for 'stealing' points and threaten legal action. This retailer has to be up there with the worst I've heard of.

Those specially in this forum who still buy from Toys Wonderland know the risk they are taking. So many bad reviews, and still giving them a chance with your hardly earned money, well… Good for you if they deliver, if they don’t, remember to tell other people your experience, so they don’t take your advice and still through the money at them the same way you did. The cycle won’t stop until they run out of cash or Justin stops giving them the credit they don’t deserve (in exchange for figures of course).

I do wonder sometimes if they’re a Ponzi scheme, since they rely so much on preorders, but then they also get so much money from those unfulfilled refunds and so on… they are really creative when it comes to accounting and financial administration imo.

They can take as long as they want to send me my rooted hair set. This month, next month, or Over the summer makes little difference to me. I won't be ready to work on the diorama I have planned for him until summer anyway. When it comes to figures of this cost, I'll choose quality over speed.

Tell them you will file a report with your credit card company if they don't give you all of it back. They should give you all back for the "lost in mail" aka we didn't/couldn't aquire enough stock for what we sold. Is the $60 the NRD for the Joker? If so, I could understand that one.

To my knowledge, and I could be wrong, they don't take payment through PayPal because they lost the ability with so many reports filed against them.

Where does the "quality over speed" comment come in relation to TW? They have neither.

I don't mean to make any excuses for TW, but the difference in the refund he received may simply be the exchange rate fluctuating since the time of the original purchase. That is to say, he may have been refunded the correct amount in HKD.

Just speculating, though. He would know better than me.

USD : HKD = 1:7.75 - 7.85

Exchange rate is locked down unless he’s using other currency

All these recent posts want me to cancel my few pre-orders at ToysWonderland....but part of me is worried they are gonna fight it or not, or just be a pain in the a** about it.

To cancel do you just use their cancelation portal/survey link they have on their cancelation policy page?

This is what I fear most. Comic Santorum is selling Toys Era Vulture for $133 shipped... but I just have a feeling if I were to buy it, it would be a return item. Consequently, I haven't ordered it. But its a damn good price.
