They're definitely a good replacement option.

I have the same obsession for details and bits and parts. The Hunt is fun. But I must say, you beat me on your devotion to this Riddler. Your boots are more correct and with the correct 9 eye holes instead of seven.
Ye, the only way mine are inaccurate now is with those two little eye holes on the inner foot and the angle of the tread being a little too vertical.
I think I can live with that. At least, I hope I can…

They have all the main ingredients and surpass the stock boots by a country mile.

I have a tendency to get super fixated on little details once I start looking into costumes.
Scouring the internet for matching parts is like an addiction in itself sometimes.

You two scare me sometimes lol...

Welp, got my Yan glasses from Toy Anxiety... as did a couple other people, I "see".

Also got some combat boots off ebay that look like a fair match (at least they have green material).

Now, I just need a Conundrum Man.
I picked up the glasses and boots of the Yan toys version from Toy Anxiety myself.....( already had my Conundrum Man )

While not quite as good as Chopper Face's boots, these require less work. I wanted to wait until I had them in hand before posting. They're on ebay -- look for "green combat tactic" boots.

I have a pair of boots that I'm going to try when my Conundrum Man arrives. I've had them quite a while but have no idea what figure they're from or who made them. They're molded rather than fabric but they look like the correct style. And the price is right lol...

Those look perfect.
I remember now where I got them. They were an extra set of boots that came with a Predator Dutch figure that I bought off eBay years ago. I think they may be the OG Hot Toys boots, as the ones on the figure are fabric lace-up boots that look similar to what you picked up. The molded ones are narrower, so the fabric ones look better for Dutch. Hopefully those molded ones won't look too narrow for Riddler.

Personally I think this thing is great. Admittedly its a character I don't care that much about, but the paint on the eyes really impressed me. It's as detailed as Hot Toys stuff, which I didn't know was possible with 3rd party. Some things are inaccurate, sure, but for the price I'm just putting the best parts from the two 3rd party releases into one "Riddler" and making the rest one of his followers. I can't see why I would buy a Hot Toys or InArt version unless it included an unmasked sculpt too.

These look perfect. Man I really need to hunt down where these were from

I guess you missed my follow up post - those were from Hot Toys Dutch from Predator (MMS 72). Pretty sure Hot Toys Billy Sole (MMS 73) had the same boots. Those are 13 year old figures, so I doubt there are many pairs of boots from these available out there.

Riddler arrived today and I am mostly really pleased with him!!
The boots do need to be upgraded and the glasses on mine had the very ends snapped off (only the last 2mm but still its a teeny bit annoying)
Other than that I really have no complaints, I think he looks fantastic, the head sculpt in particular is really awesome and creepy and honestly he has a lot of presence and draw.
The 'thumb-drive' looks great with him and fits really well in one of his hands, I decided I liked him posed with that as well as the cappuccino to really help sell the whole "sophisticated psychopath" vibes he gives off.
For the price I think he is a bargain and I think he will be able to hold his own on a shelf next to a Hot Toys and look its equal.
Can't wait to see how it looks next to the Inart!!

The sticker on the base is hot garbage though. I'm thinking of doing a collage on the top of his base with pictures of the inside of his cards, some of his emblems, maybe some snippets from his "conspiracy wall" and maybe even a few scanned bits of these 'Riddler: Year One' comic covers.

There are also higher quality images scans pdfs of the Riddlers notes, collages and files on these links I am thinking of using.

He looks great! Mine is currently in transit. Hopefully their Penguin turns out as good as this one.

He arrived late yesterday, have to say I couldn't be happier. Apart from the cheap looking boots he's everything I'd expect from one of the higher end licenced companies. The quality of the clothing is especially impressive.

Love all the accessories and attention to detail on the cards. Looking forward to spending some time posing him later. He should look great next to the InArt Batman.

Just need to find a decent pair of boots. Not had much luck on eBay so far. Anything from the US brings high import fees so ideally something in the UK or China.
