And you have proof of this? Paint is an easy fix. Resculpting something isn't.

Proof of what? :lol

Who said anything about re-sculpting something? More than one person who owns this said the dreads are pliable. You can literally take a hair dryer and “move” them to get what desired effect you want. That’s a much easier fix than having to re-paint something. It seems like you’re really grasping for something to dislike on what seems to be a universally well liked statue.

Not grasping at anything. I haven't seen anyone say they are pliable. And just because everyone thinks it's the bees knees doesn't mean I have to agree with them.

I was mainly speaking about the paint.
Paint is just about flawless to me. For a mass produced statue it is mind blowing what they have achieved. When this was unveiled we wanted a minimum of 85% quality and thought 90% was the best they can do due to the difficulty level of predator statues. These guys hit around 97-98%. If that level doesn't cut it for you, it'd be impossible to enjoy this hobby lol.

Man I wish prime 1 would sell that chap alien bust with torso, I'd be onto it right away haha.
Preach. My only gripe with the BC bust is the base not matching the Dog's and Warrior's. Don't know why they went organic for that one, but not the others.

Maybe they'll do individual busts if they get around to making oversized movie Aliens. I'm holding out hope for something like that in Showcase X Part 3. The previous segments haven't had any Alien action.

Prepainted statue collectors usually have lower standards. :)

If they do alien busts I reckon they'll skip the 1/3 and maybe do 1/2 scale so it's a little different. Maybe throw in chrome teeth to set it apart, that will look absolutely killer. One can only dream... it worked for the 1/3 JH, not sure if alien range will get the same love, the demand might not be as high as predator.

Lol I'm not at sideshow standards of acceptance, yet ;-)

In all seriousness, if someone was to do a custom 1/3 pred to beat prime 1 re paint, sculpt, detail and materials (real leather, real metal for armor etc), how much do you think that will cost in $ to buy?

For sure! :exactly:My only hope is they keep up those standards for all 999 of the DX Bonus Edition and don't start to cut corners like they did with a few of the Big Game Preds.

I've also noticed from what unboxing/assembly vids we've seen so far for the Jungle Hunter, is that they've made the skin much more wet looking this time...which i'm not sure if they applied on their Big Game Pred as i never saw that piece inhand. One thing i was hoping for when i ordered the Jungle Predator was that they made the skin glossier to appear more realistic so i'm super pumped! :yess:

100%
I saw a post somewhere saying this piece requires a lot of attention to get right and QA has been stressful for them. Understandable as there are so many components.

I do think prime 1 deserves full praise from us collectors and hope this encourages them to get each and everyone right with this one. Positive feedback can go a long way to motivate a company.

Was done. Cost around 4K. But you get 3 1:3 statues and pro painted by one of the best. The sculpt is not meant to be the JH and there is no real leather. Just netting and metal blades. But think that is enough. And the paint on the Prime 1 is… well let’s say I don’t want to have decals on my statue for this price and the paint is absolutely basic. Love the sculpt and the details. This one deserves more. So mine is going for a full repaint later this year.

This is 1:3? His head looks smaller than the big game 1/4.

Sooooo a while ago I asked Secret Compass to cancel this, however there was a mess up so my PO is still there. I decided to keep it :lol

This, like my Predator 1/4 by P1, Big Chap P1, and PCS Punmpkinhead are basically for my son one day. He’s 17 now and basically is a mental carbon copy of me so I know he’ll keep them till he’s an old man too :)

Videos of this piece didn’t hurt when it came to changing my mind. Lol

Time to start putting money away to get ready for this

Thanks friend.

When The vids for this thing came out, my son and I both became very interested again.

It’s more than I care to spend but it’s not the first time I spent this much on a statue and this one has plenty bang for the Buck and will without question keep it’s worth.

As for my son, yeah he is basically into everything I am. It’s been fun living vicariously through him :lol Music, movies, collecting, art, you name it.

He’s not into statues as much as I am thought he collects x-plus Godzilla and Harryhausen. Of course much of this were birthday and Christmas gifts. But we all start somewhere.
