I think that’s their second batch. I’m guessing all they did was not include batteries in the box. That’s how it was for my Dark Trooper from them.

Yep, I can confirm that both the shipper and the art boxes on the one I recently received from Popcultcha were sealed and there were no batteries included in the box, so they must not have been included from the start. Such a simple fix lol.

Also, I love this figure! I was starting to get worried that I’d never get my hands on one thanks to Australia’s new button cell battery laws. I had to snap up a second one to mod during Popcultcha’s recent 20% off sale. Can’t wait to try some different Lukes on him

So i can only assume that if there are subsequent batches of figures that are currently International sales only on Popcultcha’s website will not be international sales only.

As unbelievable as it sounds, the Sideshow X-Wing pilot sculpt is a pretty decent Ep IV Luke. It just needs a good paint job.

357partment painted it, although in reality he's not ginger- I nabbed the pic off my insta and it had a weird filter on it.

Doesn't quite fit right without some modification. From what I remember it's a little big, but a little narrow on the sides.


Did we ever reach final verdict on Sideshow Snowspeeder Luke vs Hot Toys snowspeeder Luke?

I don’t mean like overall, but little things like the chest box or the gloves. I put the Sideshow top gauntlet pieces on the Hot Toys and it looks great.

I don’t have it but from what I’ve seen the sideshow was one of their better figures. The headsculpt wasn’t great unhelmeted but there were many things that were. The jacket sleeve length is superior and most everything else but the boots and gloves were on par.

Sideshow's belt is a pain. Buckle's pin won't stay in place.

Yeah the whole outfit for the Sideshow actually seems a bit baggier. The hot toys flight suit and jacket are a bit more form fitting than I remember the costume being, but maybe I'm mistaken.

Ah yeah I had heard that was a problem. The example I bought from someone had the belt replaced by the dx07 version so never had the ss belt in hand.
