I've kept my QMX Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scotty and Sulu but would replace them in a heartbeat with the EXO-6 versions.

I just haven't let them go yet, just in case the five year mission ends up like the original series...

I also have the QMX Khan but that beauty is going nowhere.

Some things to consider.
I expect EXO-6 to be improved. But by what % better and what cost increase over QMX ?
Will your QMX crew devalue once EXO-6 releases the new version ?
Do you think you would let go of QMX Scotty & Sulu once you obtained the improved Kirk and Spock but before EXO Scotty & Sulu are produced ?

Good questions...

EXO-6 versions will definitely be better in the head sculpt department and base figure body but the uniforms and accessories should be comparable, as the QMX figures were well done, overall.

The QMX figures should devalue but if the drop is significant, I'll just keep them and use what I can for custom figures.

I don't plan on letting any go until a replacement is teased, at the very least.

I have all the QMX except for Sulu.
I agree that I will hold on to Kirk and Khan.
I think Scotty looks good and McCoy is a favorite so I’m not letting him go.
Spock…well, it’s Spock. It’s like Boba Fett or Batman. I have multiples of those guys and don’t lose any sleep.
Worst case scenario is they go in storage when EXO-6 are released or they go on a separate shelf.

I sold off my entire QMX Star Trek collection a couple of years ago as part of my phasing out of collecting, but if I still had it, I'd keep it until replacements were made available.

This is where the line hasn't had enough publicity. I didn't even know there WAS a QMX Khan! Was he one of the last? I know about the only Dean from Supernatural but not Khan. That's wack.

1967 TOS Khan with his red jumpsuit. Second batch Scotty and Sulu were cancelled.

How many Sulus were produced? I tried to order one when gamespot got a bunch of them in but they didn't ship to Canada so i couldn't order one.

That's a good question. I had to jump through a bunch of hoops in order to get mine through Gamestop, but I got em.👍

At risk of TMI or this being an inappropriate place to ask this.
QMX Sulu and Scott were on smaller runs than the “BIG 3“.
So they subsequently ended up at the higher eBay asking price.
Personally I was one of those who originally was simply not going to pay the same ( or higher) price for supporting characters.
Now I look at my QMX BIG 3 and think I need a little color ( a red shirt = Scott) .
I don’t expect to buy and replace the BiG 3 —- truth be told they are as good as or better than EXO-6 TMP IMHO.
Now — I may have moved on by the time EXO-6 produces TOS figures (Im old).
But would those of you who have the QMX Scott & Sulu expect to sell them at a loss when they become replaceable by EXO-6 ? If so : what % of loss ?
If I were able to supplement The QMX BIG 3 with preowned supporting characters I would only have to spend full price on EXO-6 Uhura and/or Rand and maybe Chapel.

I would assume that the resale prices of the QMX Scotty and Sulu would be a little less than the EXO-6 renditions. Taking into account how much better the "Mirror, Mirror" Sulu head sculpt is to the QMX Sulu sculpt, that alone should warrant a drop in price. But I don't think that the drop would be significant, as the rest of the figure is top-notch.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I would most likely keep the QMX figures and use them to make custom figures. Swap out the head sculpts and if needed, the bodies and I could have custom DS9 versions from "Trials and Tribble-ations", for example.

I ordered my Qmx Sulu from Planet Action Figures here in the uk. Once it was obvious that Qmx were not producing their 2nd run (after Nanjin had left the company) I messaged him and bought Sulu from him, as had a quantity of the figures when he left Qmx. So, I am lucky, I have all the ST figures produced by the company and wouldn't part with them

I wouldn't part with all my 5 TOS figures either.
I hope Mr. Nanjin gets Chekov and Uhura out to complete my crew.😀

Another possible Immediate Purchase for 2023. Looking at one hour sell out this time for this long waited Star Trek collectible:

1/6 scale Gorn Costume Replica with extremely limited articulation
😊
I think Playmates already did that.😄

And that's exactly why Nanjin's been holding off for so long on releasing TOS figures, because he keeps hearing people say they have no interest in buying new versions of the QMX characters.
Well can you blame us?
Would and could you afford another $1000.00 for figures that you already have, NOT counting Chekov and Uhura?
