Nope. Cape is partly to blame. I also don't have Wicket.

After ANH, I really tried to control my urges to just a few extras from the other movies -- like Snowspeeder Luke. I've skipped most of the alternate outfits for the main heroes as well (thankfully with HT not making Bespin Han it became a lot easier). Once you skip purchasing a few major characters it becomes a lot easier to hold back on others. Vader and Fett (movie only versions) seem to be my only weakness.

Ahhhhhhhh so THAT'S how it's done

Respect the willpower. I was a compulsive 3.75” army builder and that carried over to 1/6.

I try to keep things trooper focused so they’re more at the center rather than accessories/background as some have them, but you’re right that it does get you into a lot of trouble real fast. :lol
I know, I know. I've already got X-Wing Luke so the need for a flight-suit wearing Luke is not as urgent. I did end up picking up a number of loose parts from Snowspeeder Luke, as well.

But I feel there won't be another Lando release for quite some time.

And let's remember this day years from now when Landon finally sells out and skyrockets in price. And then all the posts that say "You had your chance, he was on discount, etc etc"

Buying spare parts and back-ups is also a "disease" that gets out of control.

"Uh-oh, I better get a spare leather coat for Terminator in case this one rots."

"Need an extra set of gloves for Vader"

"Better get another head"

I bet some of you guys have a larger collection of parts than you do figure displays.

Lando even fits into an OG Star Wars lineup imo. He's classic OG Star Wars.

ESB is my favorite SW film, so he fits in nicely for me. Even with having a truncated SW display without delving too much into secondary characters or outfits. I remember using spare cash I had made at a yard sale to get him, in addition to rewards points. So no biggie.

+ half completed projects mixed in with all those extra gloves and hands

That's my Bete Noire. I have so many "to do" projects...

For instance, I just finished one that's been waiting to be built since 2016. I have others that have been waiting 15 years for completion (and then require constant upgrades to catch up to the hobby).

I'm truthfully not calling anyone out, but people not buying Lando even at a hugely reduced price is probably why Hot Toys is just forgetting about the OT these days. I can just see the logic - "well, Lando is a main character to the trilogy with a lot of screen time, and we can't get rid of these figures, so why would we make Admiral Piett or the Death Star trooper?"

Personally speaking, I jumped at Lando and pre-ordered, not only because I wanted the figure in my collection, but I was hopefully it would lead to more from the OT, like Piett, Veers, Ackbar and Wedge. All memorable characters that should have figures, but probably won't because they can't even sell their Lando pieces.

Just doesn't make sense to lament the OT being passed over for PT and D+ figures when PT and D+ figures are being gobbled up, but a popular OT character is being passed over.

Said it before will say it again. Ever since the beginning of MMS they have never done a generic human not once. We would never consider Piett or Veers generic on here of course, but from HT POV? Never gonna happen.

Happy to be proven wrong of course :)

Maybe hot toys thinks ot diehards like us aren’t collecting as much anymore? Diving into the clone wars and prequels as much as they are might be a sign. In the last 2 years I think we have 4 new ot figures. Lando, Luke snowspeeder, Luke bespin, and the scout trooper. That’s pretty bad considering axe woves, Kuiil, Cobb, and all of these supporting characters are being made and we can’t get a Han or even a greedo? This doesn’t bode well the future ot collections. Maybe the rotj anniversary will surprise us and we will get 9 figures like aotc did. I won’t hold my breath…

I didn't think we'd ever get another version of Lando, so I put the SS clothes on a HT body to get a better version. Would like a General Lando, but not enough to pay for a 3rd party clothing set, not yet anyways...

Amazing! Definitely picking up a spare ESB Lando and trying that. Did you have to do any modifications to the head to get the helmet to fit?

I still can't believe Hot Toys has not done Tie pilot or AT-AT driver. Hopefully we will see some announcements of new releases, and not some reissues.

Long overdue. I partially blade the First Order TIE Pilot figure.

I'd rather have the OT version but they've had multiple opportunities now with TIE Pilots in everything from Rogue One to Mando and Solo and Andor.

ROTJ 40th maybe, but we'll see.

It's even weirder they've shown expensive 1/6 TIE prototypes just for display and Howard's private collection but can't be bothered to release an OT TIE Pilot.

Lando appeals to five types of collectors: Star Wars completists, OT fans, ESB fans, fans of Han and Lando, and fans of Lando. Not seeing anything more of Bespin Han than a tease several years ago may have many collectors who belong to four of those fan types doubting there will be any OT figures after Lando, and collectors who belong to three of those fan types may be hesitating to get him because of it. Unfortunately, you're probably right, and that hesitation to get Lando likely has Hot Toys hesitating to make more OT figures.
