A smiling sculpt is odd with this setup

Would have been cool if they made a plain Tony in the Sabbath t shirt, with bloody Cap trading cards and a pack of blueberries

Would have matched the sculpt.

Heck of a set and going to cost a fortune. Nice to see a Stark figure with rolling eyes finally but I agree with others that I don't think it looks like him, especially from the front looking forward. The eyes look like someone else's eyes - perhaps they're just too close together because if I cover one half of his face I can see the likeness more. Hair looks good though.



The 'exposed parts' that are actually replacement parts is a clever way to keep the figure from becoming what would otherwise be too fragile and fiddly, I think. The tear-a-part helmet is cool. I wonder if it'd be possible to pull off a pose with Tony lifting the helmet off his head with both hands.

Lol I laugh at myself for thinking we would never have enough iron men and I needed to act fast cause hot toys were limited. Lol all I need to do is wait and they’ll just update it. Just like joker and Batman and so many others

This is my favorite Iron Man suit soooo definitely going all in.

Headsculpt: I think is like 85% there? It's like so close, but something ever so slightly off. Eyes too close together? Forehead too big? I dunno something... I do like the expression as it's different and fits the character.

Otherwise, pretty happy with this and happy for people that don't yet have this suit!

P.s. time to get that war machine 1.0 reissue if you haven't yet...

Very cool set. It's good to see them continue to develop new sculpts. Hopefully gone are the days where we see them reuse the same one for multiple figures. Other than maybe aging him a little too much I think it's spot on.

Up on Sideshow for $655, which is almost the same price as their new Iron Spider PF.

Whu....what is holding up that figure as he walks down the stairs? I assumed there would be a dynamic stand that they just painted out in the promo photos.

Depending on the price I'll probably get the gantry to upgrade from my old TysToys version (below). Neither version is completely accurate to the movie scene, but this is closer and has much better lighting and mechanical details.

Happy to see a new sculpt instead of something reused. But he's looking way too old, face shape needs tweaking and the hair is more IM 1/2 then Avengers. But the gantry and under armor parts look good enough for me to order.

Whoa - and the gantry is $335 and doesn't come with any of the removable armor pieces. Damn, I was thinking it'd be @$275. Silly me lol.

Yeah, a person's got to commit to buying the whole set together to get the cool exposed change-out parts. But at least they're offering the gantry separate for anyone who already has the previous Mark VI (that couldn't use the change-outs anyhow).

I know some of that price is Sideshow's built in extra whatever percent they add. The price was a bit more reasonable in HKD.

Yup I appreciate having the gantry as another option for those who might have earlier iterations of the suit.

I don't really want the gantry, but I do want the extra parts the set comes with... Guess i'll be selling the previous Mark 6.

P.S. Jan-June 2024 seems quite optimistic. I'm guessing release in Q3 2024 at the earliest, meaning SSC likely won't get it until Q4.

Standalone figure is $365. I admit, I was NOT expecting this to be nearly $100 cheaper than the Mark 3 2.0.

Likely because most of this figure has already been used for the 1st die-cast mark 6, where Mark 3 2.0 is completely new.

He looks 100 years old, I don’t remember him having so many wrinkles. I had the last version of this and sold it to find new stuff, but I really liked the battle damage so I may get this when sideshow inevitably has it on 20% off.
