1/6 Hot Toys - MMS688D53 - The Avengers - Iron Man Mark VI (2.0) with Suit-Up Gantry Set

Very confused by the reactions to this head sculpt. I personally think it looks tremendous and 1 of their best RDJ sculpt to date. Captures his expression and mannerism perfectly. As for the sharp skin texture, gotta keep in mind that it will get toned down a bunch after mass production so we should be fine.

Also love the changes/additions that they have made to the Mark 6. 100% an instant cop for me

@DasMuse It's the second diecast, but it's more like a 1.5

Why does he look so damned old?

These things always soften up in production.

OK guesstimates on price for the deluxe ? Got to be pushing at least $600-700 or ?

I'll guess around $600. $400 for the standard, $200 for the gantry.

Hmmm tempting, but am contemplating purchasing a 66' Chevy Nova so need to start ramping down on figures.

Funny how a new interest immediately shoots down any potential "maybe" figures. Not a bad strategy perhaps

It retails just a bit less than $550 in Asia so yeah expect around $600 for sideshow

Precisely. During this time when there's no show or movies going on, they could be getting caught on figures people really want from movies/shows over the last 12 months.

Face almost looks like they 3D-Mapped RDJ's face. Otherwise...EYEROLL

Exactly. I figured they'd try and catch up until February rolls around and they need to do another Ant-Man and Wasp, but no, it's another Iron Man... I still retain some hope for the Stranges since they did end up doing even Old Man Loki, but I'm not betting on it. Either way, MoM Xavier and his Hoverchair are pretty much a no-go at this point.

If there is any improvement to his body, then I’d be keen to know. But if this is more of a 1.5 than a true 2.0, I’d rather just keep my 1.0 die cast release. I much prefer the face reveal helmet to this smiling unmasked head.

I have the original Mark VI diecast but I’m totally getting this too with the gantry

I’m so glad this is getting done, I had to sell my mk6 years back and I hated it, this was my favorite hot toy until Mando deluxe came out.

I’m glad the gantry is better proportioned, for my pleasure

If they do make anymore MoM Stranges it won't be anytime soon. A Toy Fair Exclusive may be your best hope now. As for Klawng, I think first they'll release your grail Namor from Wakanda Forever.

They could do that or instead churn out more versions of the guy that has proven to be obscenely profitable for them. I'm not happy about it either but are any of us really surprised?

They did Old Man Loki because SooSooToys made one first (not that HT's version has actually been released lol). Maybe if someone else does a decent Xavier (or Captain Carter, Black Bolt, etc.) HT will feel compelled to do a licensed version. I doubt it but maybe...
