This is pretty neat! Lagertha was my favorite character from the show. I will say, the sculpt is way too soft but the outfit and weaponry turned out well. Great show btw and only having seen the first season of Valhalla, the sequel, it’s fantastic so far.

She went out in some countries, I just came across her when I was looking for spare parts

From these photos that show the mass production version figurine, the head is better than I thought.
It looks more like Lagherta than that of the prototype. And the different pieces of the outfit are good work.

Oh shoot, had been looking for this one since it was first posted… lost track of it to find this creepy thing. Why Pop Toys? I trusted you... Such a sad day. And now I’ve got to get back to work. It’s surely not getting any better.

In all seriousness though, that’s not Lagertha. That’s what people in my nightmares look like. That’s Lagertha only if you have prosopagnosia.

Comparition’proto/ final

That photo seems a bit blurry, softening both sculpts.

I honestly think that the production piece is a big letdown from the prototype, unfortunately. But it is the only game in town, which is usually the case.

She's on her way, but I've pretty much lost interest in her.

One good thing from looking at the parted out photos on Ebay: her bracers are removable and not attached in any way to her sleeves. I expected they'd be completely separate pieces, but there was a chance Pop Toys might've done something silly and glued them on.

Not bothered about likeness, as I'm no longer bothered about Vikings. I managed to watch it to the end, and it actually did start to get interesting in the last few 'New World' episodes. I was glad when I finally got to the end so I could put it behind me.

Removing the bracers and giving her a Celtic shield should help to distance her from the show and throw her further back in time. The shield on another figure can stand in for an earlier cavalry example.

She's here.

Sculpt is nice. I suppose she does look a bit like Katheryn Winnick as Lagertha, but that's not an issue for me. She does appear bored though.

The hair is soft like mohair, more natural than the regular kind of 'doll hair', and should train easily with water. The sculpted hair is very intricate.

The scale mail looks fine. The clothes and boots have a felt like quality. The blue top has already stained the upper edges of her hand.

The sword has a metal blade and fabric bound grip. The scabbard is covered with a fuzzy felt to replicate fur.

The top of the scabbard has to be inserted upwards into the loop on the belt, rather than pushing it through from the top. It holds there by friction.

The shield isn't flat but concave, which I thought must be a quality issue. But then it looks concave here too:

And more distinctly so in this digital image:

Not a fan of the cloak...

I'm shoehorning her into the Celtic world by swapping her shield, and giving hers to a Celtic warrior as a cavalry shield.

EDIT:

Her neck looks long in the photos because the head wasn't pushed right down.

Thank you Pizza for your photos, always so beautiful 🤩
She's better than I thought this figurine 😊

She looks good in these photos except perhaps a little "wonky-eye syndrome". Is that the case or is it just the camera?

I think the addition of eyeliner would definitely help in capturing the actress even more.
