Since I am a statue collector and have absolutely no idea about this collecting field and cannot estimate the probably very high amount of work, I asked myself the question but some should be a little more relaxed and explain it to a newcomer instead of cracking their jokes.
Thank you.
Majority of the time you'll get very warm responses, but lately, especially with these InArt figures... It feels like there is a lot of nitpicking. The Joker thread had a several page meltdown about his head being too big because one bad angle showed it looking pretty off. And it is a touch too big I think, but all the nitpicking and complaints have gotten old, which is where his response came from.

It's the forest before the trees statement. There will always be things to find wrong, but when everyone keeps beating them to death you get annoyed replies.

Everyone has different opinions and their own sense of value when it comes to considering an expensive purchase

You would think that the weird pendulum swings we are seeing every few pages in regards to these InArt figures, when it’s either a bunch of “this is amazing and perfect and better than any custom job while half the price”, or “this minor prop inaccuracy has ruined the figure for me and furthermore my entire life” would be a ripe atmosphere to really discuss the value of every aspect of these things, but apparently not lol

“can't see the forest for the trees

An expression used of someone who is too involved in the details of a problem to look at the situation as a whole”

Why can't we just let people have differing opinions instead of bashing them on here
There are differing opinions and there are statements of ignorance; both are worthy of a little hoity-toity derision.

At least we’re all clear now that with near double the intricate, skilled work comes an easily explainable increase in price- until a few pages pass and the same question will arise again.

This place is better than Python’s Argument Clinic because it’s free.

No it isn’t.

Yes, it is.

But I don’t pay to be here.

No, I meant the Argument Clinic!

Oh, I see!

No you don’t!

Well it's getting too complicated here, i wonder why there are forums at all if you have nothing to discuss. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the final product and hope that InArt can keep the bar high.

Can anyone remember the full price for Gandalf from OSK, I forgot and looks like theres no way of checking as its not on the site no more. First Time I have used Kit, usually I always go back when I forget on other sites and its still there lol.
Cheers.

I'd have thought some kind of wireless charging system through the base and the base of the staff would be the most wowie-zowie option. Base charges by USB, then the gem lights up while it's in the vicinity of it. There's a few light upgrade kits for Gundam models and such that do a similar kind of thing, so it's not like they'd be inventing something brand new.

That's some next level stuff. This needs to be implemented on these high end figures, batteries and switches on figures are the worst

As much as I like the look of Gandalf the Grey I might actually wind up with the Asmus Crown Series Gandalf the White.

Watching The Two Towers last night and then a review of that figure today it looks pretty great. Him and Shadowfax on display will look awesome.

Still interested in seeing how the InArt Gandalf turns out though.

Got an order in on Pop Collectibles. He looks incredible and now I'm considering Aragorn. The Inart slope is really slippery. :lol
also ordered on Pop collectibles since I missed OSK by a couple of weeks. Is this site safe I never used it ? I wrote them to ask questions about shipping to canada but they never replied. I think they use EMS speed post and shipping is included in the price ?

For anyone that ordered from TBA, bad news.

Wow, I feel bad for them- totally defrauded it sounds like. Thank goodness my order is with TNS...
