It's definitely Nimoy, I just think it's missing a lot of the detail and more sunken in features he had by the time of TMP. And it just seems far too over-simplified.

I actually have the playmates sized bridge from him and did just that - built a coffee table with a glass top for display. It works really well and looks great, but I can’t imagine how big the table would have to be for 1/6 scale. I will probably end up getting the nav/helm console though once Chekov is released.
I have a half set for display - still have to take it out of the boxes. He showed me a picture of your setup for displaying the whole thing!

I bet the half display does a really nice job of letting you actually see the inside!

I like it too. But I was hoping for the multi-level flooring and the railing for an epic display!

That said, if they ever go that far with the chair TWOK would be the place for it!

Me too! The simple chair actually works best for me since I want the bigger setup for TWOK.
Yeah, exactly my thinking. I agreed with someone here when they said the chair in TMP isn't that important, especially given Kirk's attire, but I'd still like it, even for him to stand in front of. TWOK is a whole other ball game. Bring on the diorama!

In case this wasn't shared (didn't see it) or otherwise already known, from Nanjin:
Veto'd TMP small footprint Command Chair. We need to reduce MSRP further without degrading its visual presentation.
Seems like not only we can reduce cost but also upgrade its appearance. We will find out. A focus group to examine further is the best way to examine this chair. The discussion forum is the best place to do this but I no longer can fit in to that group. I am moving on to the 1/6 producers social circles.
TMP McCoy is not called Disco McCoy. I just used this description sarcastically telling people we are not producing the beardless McCoy in TMP pajama uniforms. (They were NOT standard uniforms; all sent to space lock.
Doctor McCoy was NEVER a Starfleet dude. He had no interest in exploration the THING of any sort. He was just an old fashion country Doctor.

Nanjin:
Finalized an agreement with our production manager/engineer, Jacky Wu for a budget TMP command chair. In return, Jacky can expand his department.
Finalizing some cost and will have this chair approved for Pre-Order in about 2 weeks.

As pointed out the fact that Kirk never sat in the chair in the uniform we got makes it seem unnecessary. That and it’s kind of weird to go from saying it’s cancelled just a few days ago to it happening again. I guess it’s whatever. I’ll probably just wait for the TWOK chair personally.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Nanjin. :ROFLMAO: I'll pass on this too.

It actually was never canceled. Only the version shown in the post was canceled. It's all in figuring out the interpretation.

Nanjin likes to share and a lot of that sharing is done in realtime. I really appreciate it but I get how people can get confused or worn out by it. I think 180s are pretty standard for the 1/6 business though (or at least from my business experience it is what I figure is going on). You are trying to get things to be made for X in order to be sold at Y in order for it to be worth making. Once you find out you can’t make it for X it’s scratched but then either you or one of your employees thinks about it more and comes up with a way to either change to numbers in the equation (X, Y and quantity) or and new way to get to X and then it is back on the table. Nanjin does not want to give up on it (I applaud him for that) so EXO keeps trying to tweak the equation in hopes of finally getting to something that works.
