Dunno about Maxnut but the rooted Deluxe did come back in stock recently at Spec, but got waitlisted again. Maybe try signing up for email notifications

Hope I didn't F-up but went ahead and pulled the trigger with Maxnut. Seems like it's a hot one so didn't want to miss out. I know a lot of people buy his sculpts so hoping he's reliable for an order like this. If anyone knows differently, please fill me in!

I paid $1080 full payment and he throws in a random sculpt. I see TW had it for about the same. Is that retail? One reviewer said that it was "almost $1000". What was Spec doing it for?

Thanks for the breakdown! Man I would've like to score one at Spec. But will shipping actually be cheaper with them because they're local? They still have to pay to get it shipped to them.

... should I be worried that Maxnut's not on that list? LOL

Sure. It wasn't hard. It might take a little bravery if you're not used to customizing things though. First, you have to take unscrew the panel. Once you do that you'll see the PERS mechanism and you'll have to pull the eyes out of each socket. Just a slow persistent pull and they'll pop out. You'll see little metal pins in the hinges on both sides of eye balls that move each eyeball together as one. All you have to do it push those little pins out with something. I think I just used an unwound paperclip. Once you get those pins out the whole whole system comes apart and the eyes are individual pieces now. Then you just need to pop the eyeballs back into the sculpt and that's it. I hope that helps. I think I took pics of this long ago but it's been many years now.

I did the same thing with my DX12. I customized the PERS to give him a squint look but I can also pop out those eyes and put in sculpted eyes when I feel like it.
This works with the mime?

personally havent bought from maxnut, but specfiction is legit. with how large the deluxe/premium boxes are its hard to gauge how much shipping will be. its hit or miss for me since with certain orders I was able to get free shipping while others did not when I purchased from todd. other inart releases under spec has free shipping but joker is still TBA, at the very worst and worst case scenario, deluxe/premium owners might need to fork out 50-60usd max id wager but fingers crossed its freen

I didn't see it at first but the more reviews I watch the more it's pretty apparent that the head looks pretty large without the coat and when viewing from the side. Looks better from the front view without the coat and all they way around with the coat on. Bummer but not a deal breaker. The fig still looks killer overall!
Exactly my thoughts, although I still believe it’s not nearly as bad as Justin’s pic. Anyhow, the pics just posted by Hologram (which are clearly made with a better lens, probably something like an 85mm at least, just guessing though) from the front and well futzed, it looks awesome. Main issue I see is the need to fill up that body under the shirt, it’s too skinny. That actually bothers me more than the head, specially since it’d be easily solvable by Inart themselves.

Anyhow it’s interesting the route they took. Usually we had issues with the layers being too much and looking like Joker on robes. Now, it’s a good coat version but a not that good side view uncoated joker. PERS probably not helping the depth issue we’re seeing also. Anyhow, when it comes to compromises, I think it’s still the better one to take, since they have also made a diorama which tries to force that powerful typical Joker front view.

Little side by side using Alan Hemming’s pic posted by Hologram (cropped for closer match) and a promotional pic from the movie. Not exactly apples to apples, posing is not a perfect match but pretty close. Shoulders should be a little more upfront, head un-tilted, whole body a little more forward then head a little backwards to compensate. Heath was way more buffed than Inart gave him credit 😂 Big head or skinny dude? What bugs you the most (besides not putting a preorder on time)?

What the hell is Justin doing to this figure?!
Just a really bad angle i think. Maybe some weird stuff going on with the lens and just some overblown lighting. I agree that it looks REALLY bad oof. Why aren't any comments on his videos pointing out how bad he makes the figures look sometimes?

It does looks a touch big even from the front but that's just a screen shot of the absolute worst angle. That pose is showing the thinnest side of the body paired with the widest side of the head. There could be a little lens distortion at play but I don't doubt that it'll look similar (but hopefully a little better) if you view it from that exact angle in person. But if you watch his or other vids when they're flipping the figure around or while it's rotating, it looks way better than that. I've seen side views of him sitting on the bench where it definitely looks a bit big, but not that ridiculous.

When I asked Todd from spec how much shipping will be for the standard , he asked me where I was from and he quoted me 29 dollars. I asked how so, he said he ships within the us.
