Not sure if this has been shared yet. Great close-ups in this video from Little Aussie Collector:

Thanks to everyone for the links (y)

I REALLY dislike the portrait he used in this latest video - just looks "weird" to me - "facial paralysis Pred". If I'd got this I'd have to use the other unmasked head or the masked one.

Not a big fan of the greenery either - the BGCA piece chose much better pieces.

.

Don't know why they would package it with the semi open unmasked portrait at the bottom which seems to be the one breaking for people, should have put gort mask there in it's place

Or mandibles facing inward, not outward where any impact will break them.
It would be common sense to have the sturdier part of the headsculpt toward the outer edge of the foam tray, right? Or, why not have the small stands in its place, being one solid colour, easy to make more of and generally thicker than any of the sculpts

Do you think it's worth me seeing if my retailer could check the portraits before shipping? Is it normal for retailers to open and check once they've recieved orders or not?

That would be a no.

Also - even if they DID, what's to stop it getting damaged in shipment AFTER they checked?

Look at the dreads on what was promised and what was delivered. I don't like Prime 1.

Yeah it looks really stupid to me. I actually was pretty excited when I saw how the dreds looked in post production.

I mean how could they f that up? It was a key selling point. What are they gonna do with the rest of the predator characters, are they gonna have the AVP preds long dreds swerve inward at the bottom like that too?

Makes no sense.

It's almost certainly due to the packaging. Heat up the dreads, then slip a piece of foam up between them to push the top layer out while they set.

Well then someone please for the love of god give your Jungle Hunter a proper hair dry please so I can rest assured mine will be able to be seen in his proper format! 😆
