To me this is my definitive version of Aragorn. Just hope he comes with the dark green/black cloak and you can wrap it up and tie it around him like how he looked in Moria. But most definitley can't wait for this as I feel he was pushed ahead of Legolas and Nazgul being the popular character.
Having an Aragorn grail has always been a goal since the toybiz days, so I'm excited to. My hope is they deliver on their previous figures. If they continue on that track, I'll be more than happy.
 
I'm not sure it's their "own design" as that body looks a lot like the Slim True Type that Hot Toys uses, but at this stage of the hobby, it's hard to innovate on a body.
It is similar to the HT Slim True Type- which is pretty understandable for a 6’1” slim male character as that’s pretty much exactly what the slim body represents- but it’s their own design.

It’ll be interesting tracking the variations between InArt bodies to see how they achieve the ‘unique’ proportions of each character.

At the moment, all announced characters are a slim, entry-level-tall men build with Pennywise being the tallest and most uniquely proportioned.

Pennywise- slim 6’3” long limbs
Joker- slim 6’1”
Batman/Bruce Wayne- slim 6’1”
Gandalf- slim 5’11”
Aragorn- slim 5’11”

Funny how I seem to know all that off the top of my head…

One inch is represented as about 4.23mm in 1/6 scale so there’s only 1.72cm height difference betwenen the shortest and tallest IA figures. Let’s see how accurately they adhere to scale.
 
The shoulders of the InArt body bug me. Even with all the clothes on (minus the coat), there is a squareness to the shoulders that looks unnatural.

People just don’t know how to futz correctly. Shoulders look great here, none of that gap nonsense between the vest and shirt.

To me this looks as simple as pushing the shoulders up.

Hmm... those ugly/large hip joints remind me of KP's first bodies.

I actually think it’s a smart, meditated decision they’ve made for this figure. Since it has so many layers of clothes on the torso, those will add up to make some bulk. If the hip joints were as thin as the one on the left and leveled with the torso, it would make the clothes up top look baggier (ala DX11). Instead, it looks like they’ve made the hip joints larger so the trousers are actually were they should be, leveled with the upper clothing.

It could have probably been solved with a less blocky neck collar and a bigger joint at the middle, just as the other body on the left.

It’s clear that the stock IA body is perfectly designed for the fully clothed, coat-wearing Joker but a slightly more substantial and filled-in variant should have been used for the jail cell figure where the wider hips and blocky shoulders become more apparent.

At least the guy who re-dressed Joker completely eradicated the bobble-head effect

Maybe Inart’s thinking of making custom bodies for every character was not enough in this case, and a specific version was needed for each version of the Joker. Who knows, maybe for future batches they can improve a bit by adding some fill in on jail cell Joker.

It’s a foible of Joker being their first figure.
Had InArt already been deep into their 1:6 line with a plethora of various body parts from which to bash together the perfectly proportioned frame then we likely would have seen two different torsos in use.

That is really interesting. It never occurred to me that they may be picking the order of figures they release due to similar proportions of body stock. That is like less R&D for at least the first year or 3/4 of a year. Really smart
 
For those looking for a Rivendell Shards of Narsil statue, looks like United Cutlery is putting this one back into production. (I've got one of the originals from way back in the day. It's a smidge larger at 1/5 scale, but pretty close.

If you use the shards that come with this Aragorn, instead of the ones that come with the statue, it could work scale-wise. Obviously, it would be better if the bottom half of the statue was also sculpted, but maybe there are some customizers out there who would like to try reworking one of these ...

Is there a consensus on the best place to preorder Aragorn? Looks like Kit is down to the scuplted hair version only, unless I’m searching poorly.
