Bad likeness and am I missing something? Why is there a giant gold splat of gold on her nipple area for the armor?
It's on the actual costume as well for WW84, but HT over did it there and on the ab area. It isn't as in your face on the real costume as it is on the figure. Doesn't look good.

Neck is also looking pretty long. Hair sculpt looks pretty good though.

Yeah, the golden nipples gate, been discussed on the last pages here.

Yeah, I ordered this Hot Toys version and have been waiting a long time for it. Overall I think it looks pretty good except for the overdone weathering, however I have to admit that based on what I have seen from InArt so far I am confident that they will produce a superior version of Wonder Woman.

The question for me I guess would be will InArt’s version be so much better that I will feel compelled to sell this Hot Toys 1984 version?
So do I. Very disappointed with the likeness, and why don't they just use the same sculpt as the golden armor and just make the eyes looking straight.
I believe InArt will make a superior version of Gadot WW.

And it will be so much better than this, I'm pretty sure!

Definitely their best version, the armour and skirt in particular are a definite improvement as is the thicker body. The neck is a huge issue, the portrait looks good enough.

If I didn't know there was Inart or JND that could make a better version this would be the one to own. Unfortunately, it just seems Hot Toys are a dead end with some collectors now. These are fantastic for the wider collecting community however you wish to interpret that. But I think those expecting better for a good price know that it can and will be done, and with a shorter time frame and with better communication.

There was a time I would have jumped all over this. But 1/3 JND for me and if Inart JND 1/6 knock it out of the park then that also. Sorry Hot Toys.

I just cancelled my last orders with KGHobby, Luke Skywalker, Mando season 2 and something else. Was planning on getting Cyborg, but think I'm going to move on.

Hot Toys is a little long in the tooth now for me now.

True, but the fact is there seems to be no real improvement on a character that has seen multiple releases.
The actor's likeness is the absolute defining characteristic for this figure. Wonder Woman's clothing and accessories are quite minimal, so getting the likeness of Gal Gadot's face and body is paramount. They did get the body right in the BvS version IMHO (the key is the shape of the legs), but so far they haven't been able to get the head sculpt right. After six attempts: BvS, WW x 2 (regular outfit and training outfit), JL and WW84 x 2 (regular outfit and Golden Armour). The closest by consensus so far is the Golden Armour version from WW84, but even that is not 100% there by most accounts.
So it's natural to point out failings.

This has felt like a back burner type of release for a while but it's kind of insane that by the time the figure is in the hands of most collectors, it'll probably be near 3 years since it was announced.

And the movie came out 2 years ago. That might as well be an eternity in this day and age.

I still think it's a nice looking figure, much better than the terrible doll hair Hot Toys use. Already paid this off months ago, 2nd batch, so I've no intention of cancelling.

Will make a nice colourful display with JL Superman and BvS Batman. A decent placeholder until InArt give us a much better WW with proper rooted hair.

From what John said on his last stream it sounds as if they have a lot of obstacles to overcome before they have a prototype to show. Not expecting to see even a prototype before the end of this year.

I have to get this because I only have 1 regular armor Wonder Woman (the BVS version) and the skin is peeling on it, plus I broke the leg last year trying to pose it.
This ain’t good, but I’m happy with the outfit (minus the gold suit nipples) and sculpted hair is good, better than the cheap crap they use for rooted hair.
Still light years better than the trash they did with Batman Begins.

Has InArt confirmed a 1/6 WW??

Not sure if I want to grab this one or wait for something else. She’s one of my top 3 favourite characters and I’ve yet to her a 1/6 figure of her

Yeah, I agree on all points. I'm getting this because I feel like I can mix and match parts with JL WW and get a great figure. IF Inart gets around to doing one, it may be superior, but it will cost more and is likely years from delivery. So this will do for now, and I'm happy to sell it off for cheap later, knowing I got some enjoyment out of it on a shelf for a time, (which is kinda my thinking on most figure purchases).

Yes, she is confirmed as part of InArt’s Phase 1 which I would imagine could stretch over the next 2 to 3 years. I don’t think they have much in development on their version as of yet but it would garner a lot of consolation pre-orders for people who are disappointed or are on the fence with this recent Hot Toys release.

I'm hopeful that I can switch out her armor with JL WW's more muted toned armor. The shape does appear subtly different though. We'll see. I just prefer the more subtle colors. Otherwise I much prefer this 84 figure's skin tone and sculpted hair. I never like HT's rooted hair WW's. As far likeness, none of them really look like Gal, so it's a wash to me.

I prefer the more vibrant colours but like Superman(Whedon cut) hate the movie it comes from. :lol

Hopefully InArt can really nail down the likeness but sounds like nothing is imminent. The hair will probably be more complex for them than something like Joker.

Yeah gonna pass on this one. Sculpt is at least a lot more feminine looking than the proto was, but still nowhere as good as the Golden Armor. And the sculpted hair makes it look like one of those 7 inch McFarlane action figures.

Nice to see they finally sculpted the tiara right though.

Golden armor is still the best likeness so far… IMHO.
