I also have 1 figure per character rule as well, except for Iron Man, Black Widow and Cap. & SW (soon) I have all the Widows and I will say this is my favorite thus far, and I believe I will probably like the white suit second given it’s the same body and accessories with a different color suit. Followed by CW in a close third position.
How would you say the body on this new version compares with the body on the CW version?

Unfortunately, my CW BW is in storage (also known as The Raft LOL) and I don’t have time to break it out to compare the two. I’m so sorry. From memory (and watching some CWBW review videos), the shoulders for the solo movie figure are more defined and the arms can move up higher. The CW outfit appears more constricting than this one.

Good to know thanks!

I think I will wait a little bit to see if this goes on a bit of a discount then pic it up. I think she will look great with a sniper rifle I picked up recently 😁

Great figure. solid proportions and a decent likeness. Best BW body they've designed so far.

BUT, the scale is ridiculous. Either the rest of the Avengers are incredibly overscaled, or Black Widow is dramatically underscaled, because the difference in scale is inescapable. She looks like a twelve year old next to the rest of the team. Like Cap could snap her head off if he wanted.

I feel like this is a weird trend that really bothers me but nobody seems to care about that much but the figures keep getting bigger and bigger. Around when they made BvS stuff is when it started and I stopped buying so many figures because they were looking strange on the shelf together.

Wanted to share a quick easy mod for those bothered by HT's choice to use flesh colored wrist pegs. I ordered a set of black HT Mandalorian Armorer wrist pegs, because they matched Black Widow's in size, as well as a set of black HT Death Trooper wrist pegs, which were a tad larger. All that's needed is too slightly sand or shave the peg that slides into the forearm, and presto you've got black wrist pegs that disappear against here gloves and suit. The Armorer wrist pegs are an identical size, but the slightly larger Death Trooper pegs allow for a lot more articulation.

The larger pegs let me more subtly tilt her hands in and out as necessary for a natural gun holding pose.

I think it's both. She's underscaled AND they are overscaled. How easy is it to get that backpack off?
Very easy. There’s just a little dab of glue holding the straps to the bottom end of the back pack. Just carefully pry it off and there you go. Now it goes on and off easily. Sits nice and snug without any regluing necessary.

Scarlett Johannson is 160cm tall. Divide by six and you get 26.6cm. Or 10.472 inches(But I don’t have it, so perhaps you can measure it?).
If you measure her and she’s close to that, then, the answer is that the guys are crazy over scaled.
RDJ is fourteen centimetres taller than her and Chris Evans is nine centimetres taller than RDJ.
Your main problem here is that certain things are scaled to 1/6, and certain things are scaled to 12” scale. Most clothed males are 12” tall and most clothed females are between ten and twelve inches tall. Although there is a wide range of male bodies now, there isn’t a wide range of female ones.
So most female characters are about the same size. While the males vary widely.
On occasion, HT have dabbled in making these figures true 1/6 scale(Where the figure made is an exact 1/6th of the actual item). This usually happens where there is only a CG asset of the item(IM armour, Hulk, light cycle, etc). Other times, for someone who is supposed to be five foot seven, they make the item 12” scale. It’s only a bump of 2cm at that scale. But when you see a pic of the cast all standing together you realise how different all their heights are in real life.
Irony of ironies, I expect that the Widow figure is the closest one to being accurate to the proper 1/6 size.

That's somewhat right. Measured, her figure is 10.68", which equals 5' 3" when scale up. BUT this is still undersized because Scarlet is supposedly 5' 3" barefoot, and Black Widow is sporting some massive heals and her figure is still no taller than 5' 3".

Meanwhile, Chris Evans is 6 foot in reality, but they've scaled his figure up to nearly 13", which equals just under 6' 5".

So they've essentially scaled Captain America up to his comic book proportions, and scaled Black Widow down to less than even Scarlett's barefoot height, and you wind up with this wonky disparity in scale. Along with that, Black Widows limbs and features are also dwarfed by Cap and Tony (I mean you could fit three of her feet in Cap's boot alone). So it looks like she's 1/7 scale, and Cap is 1/5 scale.

Bingo. They make Widow like she's a 4'11" person wearing 4" wedged boots and Rogers like he's got a secret stash of super serum he's still hitting.

Anyone found a way to mod the height for this figure?
Get a newer base body honestly and redo the entire thing again. I have no idea if there are leg extenders for female figures, if so, just make sure that the pegs are compatible to Hot Toys version.

Yeah that could work, but how easy is it to take off the costume?

I don’t know if that would work. The ankle pegs are not ball joints but some type of pivot peg like a wrist peg. Plus, her neck and chest are visible and painted to match her headsculpt. Not sure how one match her head to a new body without painting skills. Likewise her suit is sewn around her body (up the back) so while it is feasible to cut it off, would be tricky to cleanly sew it back onto a new body, plus it was clearly tailored for this body. There’s not much extra material to work with in the waist, sleeves and legs for a longer body.

But nothing’s impossible. So I’d be curious to see if someone can pull it off attractively

There was a forum member that did a switch from the Endgame body to the TBLeague in the Endgame Scar Joe thread if I’m correct.

Don’t know much about TBLeague bodies or have working knowledge at all other than what I been reading in it so far.

Was it this one? I saw it on Facebook. The ankles on the endgame fig were just a simple ball joint if I’m not mistaken, so more easily adaptable to a new body. But overall I can’t say I like the result. Yes, she is taller, but her proportions look kinda alien and overly narrow. Plus her head and body do t match at all.

And as always, actor heights are completely irrelevant to character heights. Character heights are the product of how they are depicted on screen relative to each other, which is the product of deliberate choices in by the director of photography and the grips and costuming. There is no concrete numbers from a comic book, a visual dictionary page, or actors wikipedia entry, it all comes down to how characters actually appear on screen.

Widow is fairly consistently eye line to chin compared to Cap as depicted on screen, and a compatible line of figures should match that. HT just dgaf
