Kinda surprised the paint is catching so much flack. It’s not great but it’s as good if not better than I’d expect from a third party company at this price point, and these shots look pretty good in my opinion. I think the blue eyes exacerbate it a bit, as I’ve noticed even in expensive professional paint jobs that those baby blues just end up looking off or cartoony.

The heads will likely be on par with what SooSoo produce and I bought this set just so I can choose the absolute best 3 headsculpts and sell off the rest. One on the figure and two on those display busts you get from SooSoo.

How has soosoo not released theirs yet? This guy's pre-order came like a year after that one and it's already out now.

They already updated on it throughout the years. Changes to body, sculpt, outfit etc. It wasn't just a announce and then release. They've been trying to improve it.

To me the eyes break it completely - they look flat and those irises...nothing like the protos they have shown. I know 5 heads is cheap for this price, but if they are that different from the proto pics, then its a no go for me. I would rather have one good hs than 5 that need a repaint to make them good enough. Again, will wait for in hand photos and reviews/thoughts so I can decide if I will cancel my order with Kit

I got my shipping notice. It's currently in transit but for some reason it decided to take a pit stop in Chicago... I live in California...

probably just turn the brightness down on your camera and its fine. Or don’t photograph/ display it in the dark. Usually when they put in lights this bright you’re supposed to look at them in daylight not the dark.

Idk what ppl expect from light up eyes. It always ends up looking kinda dumb. Either too bright or too dim. Battery will run out in an hour.
I had the By-Art light up sculpts that react to sound which is cool in theory until you realise it means that the sculpt is always on, checking the soundwaves in the room. Battery is completely dead after two hours. Even if youre not using them. These batteries are not cheap and swapping them is a pain in the ass. So you could imagine my frustration.

You’re better off photoshopping the eyes red.

Someone on facebook bodyswapped Homelander for an tbleague M34. Looks pretty good. The M33 is less muscular and I think a better fit than the M34. Just realised I have a spare M33 body. But not sure yet whether I’ll use it for a Thor custom or if I’ll be trying this out.

The original body looks like it’s pretty good. Just the biceps are too large. I could shave down the biceps, sew it back up and call it a day instead.

I don't think adding a tbleague body will make any significant improvements. There really isn't any added benefit to using a seamless body if you're going to cover it up.

Disagree. Articulation is a lot better, joints are visible through skintight suits which you won’t see with tbleague and the proportions and muscle definition on Tbleague can take your figures to the next level.

I don’t think in this case it’s that big of a deal though, I’ll agree with that. But a seamless body is always an improvement.

Seems like if you’re capable of taking remotely decent photos, this thing comes out looking easily as good as its price point would denote.

Gotta say, it’s definitely growing on me. I’ll have the neutral head repainted down the line. The proportions look good and I’m starting to like the suit more and more. The cape still doesn’t look great but it’s at the back of the figure so not the biggest deal.

Mine is also coming in monday, I’m curious to see how it holds up in hand. It seems like how the figure looks is very dependent on lighting.

Well I just got the Premium Toys figure and honestly the body kinda sucks out of the box. I’ll try messing around to see if there’s any salvaging it but right off the bad the hips/thighs are ridiculous and the muscle detailing of the suit is totally off-center. The rubber is also a lot thicker than I expected, which makes it hard to move it/the joints around to straighten things out. Oh and there’s a pretty potent chemical smell from it. Oh well.

I can’t handle all the mixed feelings I get from these photos and reviews. Gotta stop reading this forum until I get mine 😅

I think I'll skip this one and keep the Soosoo instead, even though Soosoo's likeness is entirely off. Premium Toys seemed like a no brainer at preorder stage with so many heads with such great likenesses and paint detail, but the more photos people share, the more I realize I'd never be happy to display any of those heads apart from the neutral one, which would need a repaint first.
