My payment was declined again.

Was going to leave it having ordered the CH but just updated my billing info.
As long as they don't increase shipping I'm in.
You ordered the 1/3 CH statue or bust as well? I've been so back n forth on the statue myself cause of the price. This bust magically converting was like a kick in the nuts in a good way, crying internally just thinking about the total cost of the JH pieces.

A new unboxing video:

Don't think any videos or photos have given me as much second-hand excitement as this one.

I think this is one of the best, clearest videos so far. It looks stunning. However, I don't like how the dreads hang on the left side of the head (as you look at it) just doesn't look natural. If I was getting this I'd definitely be heating and reshaping the hell out of them

Yeah, full statue.

Decided against the Bust, again. I'm happy with what comes with the DX Bonus.

Damn that's crazy! I'm using collectiblesdirect in the UK and total is around $4000
Collectibles Direct for me too mate! I opted for the Deluxe Bonus Edition back in 2021 for just over GBP3000 all in. Since then, Lee has put the price up on the Bonus Edition by over a grand to GBP4300 so i'm glad i ordered when i did.

Figured that with the temperamental shipping costs from Prime 1 recently, who knows what they'd end up charging for 3 large boxes - not to mention tax on top! So hence why i opted to go local with Lee, as the price comes with shipping inclusive. With that said, I did have to go direct with Prime 1 for the Closed Mandibles Bust as that particular bust wasn't offered locally. Got one last payment to make and then hopefully it'll ship soon after that.

Also, to give you a quick update, i spoke with Lee a few days ago and he's received information from his stockist that the Preds are on schedule to arrive early to mid February which means exciting times! :yess:

Awesome and yeah I'm glad I ordered back in summer 2021 too! I've only gone direct with Prime 1 once for the closed mouth bust, can't imagine having to pay the new shipping costs from them for the full statue

This statue looks incredible, it seriously might be one of the best ever made. However, I sort of wish I just opted for one of the busts instead. I have no idea how I’m going to display this considering how much real estate it takes up.

That was the shock I had when the Master Replicas studio scale Millenium Falcon turned up back in 2007 :lol

This seems to be around the same size (albeit a little larger) than the Cinemaquette Jungle Hunter, so it shouldn't be TOO bad.

I wanted to ask you what your thoughts were on the Pred Cinemaquette. I finally was able to score one a few years in a trade deal which saw my Sideshow Lord of Darkness Lifesize Bust going the other way...(it's a deal i still regret to this day) In the 'however' many years i've been collecting statues now, i can't say i've come across too many collectors who share the same opinion as i do in that i wasn't blown away by the Cinemaquette at all! Infact, it only stayed in my collection for just over 2 months i think it was before i sold it off.

Can't quite put my finger on exactly why i didn't warm to it as much as i thought i would. I guess hearing the majority of collectors referring to it as the 'holy grail' or the 'King' of all predator statues kinda' influenced me a little. Then there were all the pics showing its sheer presence and size (which to be fair most definately came across during my unboxing and assembly) and the awesome forearm light up panel feature certainly appealed to me too. In the end, i think it was the lack of movie accuracy in regards to the portrait that left me feeling slightly dejected along with the fact there were no switch outs...(for example, i couldn't go between displaying the Predator with the biomask portrait or even switch out a different hand, etc..)

Just wondered if i was in the minority when it comes to the Pred CM...dont get me wrong, it's a majestic statue in its own right and Steve Wang and his team did a magnificent job...sadly it just wasn't for me and to this day i still wish i kept hold of that bloody Lord of Darkness bust! 😞

With that said, this new 1:3 scale Prime 1 Jungle Predator certainly appears to be ticking all my boxes so far so i'm hoping that at last i can finally own my definitive Predator piece 🙏

PS. On another note, I've never owned the Sideshow Stan Winston Predator Maquette nor any of the Narin kits so i cant really comment on those other than what i've seen from collectors pics...what would you say is the best Jungle Predator statue out there?

Anyone planning to do the storage rack solution? I dunno if any of them are big enough, but weight would be a non issue.

Got to fiddling around in Photoshop:

You have to do you dude . . . everyone has their own likes/dislikes and it can be really difficult to explain why you fall one way or the other.

The Cinemaquette has a couple of issues . . . his right hand is a little small, and the spine trophy is completely the wrong scale (WAY too small) . . . but I loved it at the time, and STILL love it, and me owning it from day of release (2008) certainly contributed to me not being interested in the PRIME1 piece.

It was the size, presence, and the stylised portrait that attracted me to it back then, and that's still the case now. I also much prefer the pose on the Cinemaquette to the PRIME1 piece. It still sits just to the right of my 'puter, his feet at the level of my eyes, towering majestically (LOL) above me.

I was never that fussed about the gauntlet light-up since I consider all light-ups a gimmick that don't get used (with the exception of the HCG 1:1 City Hunter smart-disc originally released in 2009). I also find most switch-outs get left in the box unless they are really impressive to look at on their own.

I can understand why people who didn't get the Cinemaquette are keen on getting this - either because they missed out, or simply because they prefer the PRIME1 design, and let's be honest . . . a 1:3 Jungle Hunter is always a good thing for folks to have in their display :) Some people will probably get it even if they already HAVE the Cinemaquette - it's just not for me given the masses of statues I already own.

As for "best" - that's down to personal taste & very subjective. I have favourites, but even those would have to be divided up between "official" mass-produced prepaints and garage kits. If you limited me to Jungle Hunter prepaints, it would (currently) be the Sideshow 1:1 bust at the top of the pile, followed by the 1:3.5 PRIME1 BGCA piece, and a draw between the 1:3 Cinemaquette & the 1:4 Sideshow Stan Winston piece.

Was planning to either go the route of having a pedestal built, or use one of those racks, but encased with glass or acrylic. Your mock-up looks great! I'd opt for a rectangular shelf though because the corner ones usually end up with dead space at the rear.

I have 2 small children and a large breed dog, so I need something "safe" as well as aesthetically pleasing.

Does anyone with this in hand have the dimensions? I try not to take what's on the product page due to some variation. Need them for the display area I'm hoping to use.

I know there's 1 or 2 video's up on here off you tube of people who have this in hand with dimension's.
