Well we agree to disagree, John is arguably the central character of the franchise and Arthur and many others work in service of his story, without John Arthur's redemption wouldn't be as impactful.

We are working on a female body but we'll only seriously consider her if the sales for John and Dutch are ok.

Because like Arthur she was more of a ghost than anything, the whole game she behaves recklessly and suicidal because she herself admits she wants to die and she would've died on that mountain with Arthur but not because she's braver than most it's because she has nothing else to live for.

And Arthur wouldn't want John to die for him anyway the whole point of Arthur fighting so hard for John to get out and build a good life for him and his family is because Arthur finally realizes how incredibly wrong and foolish the life they led was. When he's finally confronted with his inevitable mortality and pathetic legacy he realizes most of the people in that gang lived and died for misplaced pride and loyalty to people and ideas there rotten at their very core, he didn't want that for himself or John and that's why they were the only ones that were able to fight and die for what truly mattered in the end.

Very well said R_R_X, I have no doubt John would have probably helped Arthur on that mountain top if he had asked him to do so.. But Arthur knew his time was ending, and helping John escape gave him an inner peace in that final stand..

John is extremely iconic, in both games no less I believe. The buildup to American Venom, and then getting to avenge Arthur as John was goosebump worthy. Both men are Western legends in their own ways no doubt

Okay jokes aside, I saw many people completely love Sadie and I understand as I love many secondary characters from other games as well. I always liked talking to Sadie as Arthur as I took huge pity for what happened to her, I was just a little shocked to see her suddenly change like that.

But there wouldn't be Arthur without John, we wouldn't be here at all (well we wouldnt be here if there was no rockstar but oh well ). John is such an amazing protagonist and all who played RDR know how damn good he is.

In my eyes, a great father figure, fighting for his family to have a better life, I highly advise you guys to re-play RDR. I just love John as much as I do Arthur.

I can't WAIT for the updated RDR1 headsculpts, I'm HYPED beyond limits!

Fingers crossed! However, Sadie is a priority for me, so I will take it from the other end. I will decide on buying John or Dutch only when I have Sadie home first.

I really have to sit down and replay RDR1 and RDR2, they are both superb games. It's been many years since I completed RDR1 and RDR2 I've completed it once and attempted to replay it another two times, but something comes up a third of the way through and I'm sidetracked. I have a backlog right now, have to finish Horizon FW, then Dead Space Remake comes out, then RE4, then I still have to get Ragnarök.

I think part of the problem is that when I'm playing as Arthur I just like and spend too much time riding around on the horse and enjoying the game environment.

I can understand what everyone is saying based on the story and overall situation, but personally I would never leave my friend,especially friend like Arthur on the mountain.That's just me. John never went back even to bury him.
Arthur dying alone is just sad.
If there was no Sadie he wouldn't go for revenge either, so yea Arthur figure needs Sadie.

John didn't leave him, he wanted Arthur to keep pushing so they could both run away but Arthur knew his time was up and John had a wife and son who needed him, "Get the hell out of here and be a goddamn man" was Arthur busting John's balls one last time but basically saying "It's fine, go I got your back", John finally leaving that life was all Arthur wanted for them both it's why even when he's barely holding on after fighting Micah he says "I got what I wanted" even tho he is about to die he has won because "John made it".

Arthur's loving act and legacy lives on with John who grows as a person and becomes a good father and husband thanks to Arthur's sacrifice, ironically enough it's Sadie's pursuit of Micah and roping John into a revenge mission out of his own hatred and unresolved feeling torwards Micah and the gang's downfall that ends up sealing John's fate in the first game.

It's an incredibly complex and rich story when you really think about it.

Ohhh damn yes! They would look so good together, Sadie side by side with Arthur!! Here's hoping brother, we never know.

It is sad but it's the ending that fits, I don't have kids yet but I imagine when I do, it's my kids over everything and John took Arthur's wish to heart and followed.. Sad indeed.

I always felt like the true reason behind Arthur's decision to get John and Abigail out was so that Jack could live a somewhat normal life. Everyone was getting killed one by one, and he knew that was how Jack was going to end up if he didn't get his parents out of that life.
John and Abigail were both real POS's during the early years with Dutch's gang. Abigail shagged the entire gang while John did every/anything Dutch asked - no questions asked. I doubt Arthur would've been very fond of either of them at the time. I don't think it was until Jack came into the picture where common sense finally made them start questioning things (or Abby anyway). John took a bit longer because, well lets face it, John was a dimwit until Arthur started talking some sense into him. lol

I would agree that he was thinking of Jack too but he wasn't the sole reason he wanted John to get out, John was his brother and aside from Dutch and Hosea probably the closest Arthur ever had to real family it's why he was so hurt more so than anyone else when John left the gang for a year and above all he knew that with Abigail and Jack John had a chance to become the man they both could and should've been had they not been so fiercely loyal to Dutch all those years.

They're... complicated people Abigail was a working girl and probably knew no other life than being one before joining up with Dutch's gang and then yeah she had her fun but in her defense she grew to be a very capable mother to Jack and one of the voices of reason in the gang despite her past being a complicated and messy one and Arthur actually was quite fond of her and even considered marrying her at one point as he wrote in his journal unfortunately for him Abigail only ever truly loved one man in that gang and it wasn't him.

As far as John doing everything Dutch asked I don't really blame him more than Arthur or any of the other guys, Dutch wasn't only their leader but their mentor, father figure, their hero bascially and filled all their heads with broken ideas and promises which made them all kill and rob for him thinking they were doing it for some greater purpose and I would actually argue John is one of the first along with Hosea who questions Dutch's choices and openly confronts him about his actions as you can see in their camp interactions.

Being with Dutch on the ferry when he shot a girl in the Blackwater job truly broke the godlike image he had of him I think it took Arthur much longer to accept the situation they were in and that Dutch had lost his way but even after Dutch left both Arthur and John to die they still stood by his side because they knew no other life and I don't think it's until they hash it out after blowing up the bridge that they both accept that the whole gang was done, Milton might have been an annoying pompous prick but he was right about one thing, they were all lost souls who Dutch led horribly astray and they all suffered horrible fates because of it.

At the end of the day even tho we love Arthur, John and so on they were all thieves and murderers who destroyed many lives but at least were able to make up for some of their wrongs and live for something actually worth fighting during the last period of their lives.

And now I have to replay the games again lol.

I saw you ask that before partner, I would still go with Kit (if you don't mind waiting), the Mid-Beard sculpt is in-stock and getting it from Kit would be also a little cheaper for the pack! And you might get lucky with Kit's gift cards! So it's a win-win from Kit, as always!

If you don't mind waiting I would suggest putting in a PO for the third batch on OSK, Kit is the best, offers free shipping and it will be easier for us to try and solve any issue if the figure arrives damaged, 5K Toys and other retailers have stopped offering after-sales support as far as I'm aware so if you get one from them keep that in mind.

Thanks guys, that will solidify my decision no doubt. I was definitely getting my PO's for John from kit, but a second Arthur here in the states already was tempting.. I believe I will go with Kit for everything now though, just in case something did need fixed.
