Well since I'd be going with sculpted I have until February 3rd to come to a decision. I allowed that latest Gandalf preorder window to come and go so I guess I would be doing as a few people said - just having the trio of Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli........and Borom- NO, DAMMIT!!!
It's the same trio for me. I did think a lot about Gandalf as awesome as he is, but I was already stretching my self-imposed 1/6 collection limit by adding Aragorn (sculpted hair) to my Asmus Legolas and Gimli (who will both be replaced by InArt versions if released).

Honestly speaking, none of those are to my taste, except for InArt as they do not represent the character good enough to warrant me spending any amount of money on them.
This!!

Huge LOTR fans here, and I've been holding off not buying Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli and even the hobbits from other company because even though back then there's not many 1/6 LOTR figures being made, I don't think they represent the character good enough. So I skipped them, and I am glad I did.

I bought crown Gandalf, though, because I think it's quite good (aside from the eyes and hat), but luckily able to sell it and preordered InArt's Gandalf the grey.
I hope the waiting game is not bad, at least the same as the Joker, which is relatively much faster than waiting for HT's release schedule.

Gimli is definitely the better of the two, but to me both are adequate and are at the quality I expect at their price point.

I'd rather definitely have them than not have them, and when these figures came out there was no such thing as InArt.

I do get where you come from, but I feel that we've had to compromise on most 1/6 figures over the years. I'm not super obsessive about them looking 100% like the movie and I don't notice things like boots being too short or Batman's cowl not quite being right, but since InArt are now a thing, I will happily update the small collection of figures that I do have with the versions that they release.

Now imagine if InArt makes Captain Marvel..

AN INART CAPTAIN MARVELLLLLLLLLLLL WOULD SEND OVER THE MOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At best, I would say that ACI was probably the second best in attempting at his likeness.

And yet, it looks like a mediocre doll at best besides Inarts prototype. It’s amazing to see that comparative and the fact that comparing sculpted hair versions, and accounting for inflation, Inarts is not even that much more expensive - if at all.

I'm very impressed by this figure. It's nice to see more of what InArt can do with a more standard human sculpt (aside from Bruce Wayne Pattinson) since figures like Joker and Battinson had makeup and Gandalf is older and with a beard.

It can be harder for sculptors to get sculpts like this just right but the photos look like movie stills or actual shots of Mortensen.

Very happy for all the LOTR collectors. This line will be a centerpiece for any collection. A Helm's Deep display with The Two Towers versions of the characters would be incredible.

This one figure will be my entire LOTR collection. Considering how great this looks in no way is that bad thing. I’ve always wanted to collect more LOTR, but I’ve never gone down that rabbit hole knowing how expensive it would be. :lol

This has been a ride lol. Love seeing the LotR section get the love it deserves.

It’s honestly one of the best sculpt I’ve seen, it blows some of the 1/1 busts away.

Which makes passing on this all the more difficult. Can’t collect everything, unfortunately.
