Welp, I’m deciding on the standard from osk. The sculpted hair looks incredible and there isn’t a big enough gap of appeal quality to justify getting rooted. Plus, I really don’t want to worry about maintaining it over the years. rooted looks great in photos but the moment a single strand of hair falls out, I’d be so pissed. Seems odd to pay that much more for less ease of mind. That’s just me tho.

Wow this figure looks phenomenal. Like some others I had a hard time deciding on rooted or sculpted, since the sculpted is some of the best I've ever seen in 1/6. But comparing them side by side there's just no contest. The rooted gives it so much more realism and comes a lot closer to capturing that more messy and frazzled look it had in the movie.

i wonder how much futzing is needed for it to look like that tho. What’s the guarantee rooted will look exactly like this out of the packaging? I have no experience with it.

Honestly you can't go wrong with either version. I'm one of those who is selective when it comes to picking and choosing specific characters from properties, and all I need from the LOTR is Aragorn/Strider.

It's ok but I prefer the Asmus one.

Wise decision. :1-1:

Until now. Truly the most beautiful 1/6 I have ever seen and will cause a seismic shift in the industry. I have never ordered a premium figure so quickly. Got it down to $580AU (about $400US) at Sugo with various discounts. Just wow.

Now where on Middle-earth can I get a Gandalf?

Edit: didn’t get as good a deal but ordered Gandalf through Sugo as well.

Edit Edit: expect to see HT for sale from me real soon

The price difference isn't even that big. You get Inart because they're meant to be a step up, "next level." Sculpted feels too basic and the strands will definitely not be as crisp and more noodly similar to the Joker sculpted. Always going for haired.

Everyone is free to walk as soon as you understand the NRD

Of course we hope everyone would keep their order but it's not realistic especially under today's worldwide economy

This is risk of business

Time by time I got some emails with horrible stories, people try to ask for the NRD back if possible. It's hard to reject it while I truly believe in that story. I feed bad to sit tight but I have to do it
Thanks.

I'm considering ordering the standard version so I have more time to think it over. That said if I did order but then later decided I was making a mistake and cancelled (never collected LOTR before/Winter bills could hit hard etc) I would not look for a refund of the NRD.

Someone on FB posted a side by side of just the sculpts of this and Asmus Helms Deep. It was crazy the difference in quality. I’m a big supporter and defender of Asmus. Not even close. Asmus has no one to blame but themselves. I think they’ve proven on different figures that they can put out a good sculpt. Aragorn was not one of them. I even feel kind of foolish defending the sculpt in the past. I have never ordered two of the exact same figure before. I’m thinking of doing that just so I can have two sculpts. This is beautiful. Aragorn is my favorite character and this will finally do him justice.

For the price, that Standard is a fantastic Aragorn -- clearly better than any previous 1/6th efforts, even the customs. If HT did it, it would likely be priced the same.

For rooted hair and the shattered Andruil (and extra fists), the $150 extra for the Premium is in line with InArt's price point.

The Standard is probably the better deal in truth...
