1/6 Hot Toys - MMS284 - Avengers: AoU - Ultron Prime Collectible Figure

I love this figure & have him sitting on a gold throne but yes a bit more gunmetal & better lights would be much cooler.

if you light him up permanantly via USB, which can be done nowadays (or use fusion reactors services on IG) this thing gets 100% better! ^_^

Gotta be honest, as much as I love Ultron, I thought I might regret this in the “can’t do much with it”, kinda way.

And while it’s the most barebones figure I have, his presence and size are really incredible in person, and it’s now one of my favorite figures.

I didn’t mess with the body batteries, but the base made him light up like the comic Ultron look, and it’s a pretty vibrant base.

I was sorta souring on this figure for awhile, but after I have the big three (Cap, Thor, Mk85) posed with Thanos from EG, I’m glad I still have him so I can pose the big three from AoU with him.

Yeah I still need to get this to complete the AoU line up.

I finally worked out the case lighting in my display to my satisfaction, so the next thing is going to be to light this guy up properly.

Does anyone have him lit up with a Fusion Reactor?

Haven’t done it myself but you could get a soap reactor from Soap Studios or similar to do it.

Oh yeah. The exposure was a bit up on my camera (which isn't too good to begin with). As expected with these figures, Ultron looks better all lit up in person. Though please mind the wires, we had an earthquake last night and I'm moving some stuff around

As for the lighting, I purchased the kit from Fusion Reactors. The kits replace the batteries with a series of fine wires that you can run through low-power USB. The FR folks already have the battery/wiring details set up for most popular HT figures (looks good on a Hulkbuster). If you're interested, you can drop them a line via Instagram.

Just sent him a message. All told, I only have a few that need lights: Ultron, Thanos, Mysterio, Iron Man (suit AND Tony's chest AR), and War Machine.
