BF2 did the same thing as Hot Toys and used the animated style armor despite the game being realistic which was a bit odd.

But Hot Toys already has an established line of realistic Clone figures from both film and animation so them not being more consistent is even odder.

Gentle Giant used the realistic armor. Hasbro did as well.

Still really excited for this figure though.

Nope. The armor parts in first two pictures are different. The question is, why did the republic bother with producing one-off armor for a jedi.

Wow looks great. Instant order. Just jumped on a CW Anakin from TBA….. can’t have one without the other!

I would love to see that sculpt on a ROTS 2.0 figure. Maybe in 2 years.

Despite some minor visual differences, I feel the intention was for Obi-Wan’s armor parts to be mostly Clone armor; especially the early war version. He is depicted with realistic Clone armor in official art, statues, figures, etc.




It seemed like a nod to the full Clone armor he wore in the Tartakovsky Clone Wars series back when there was supposed to be some level of continuity between the micro series, the Dark Horse comics, and TCW.

But there is also some inconsistency to it like with this figure and the BF2 skin so I understand the other side.

I like the figure overall either way and I’m excited for it. Don’t think they will, but just hoping they’re not going to make animated Clones though.

Pretty cool. I rather of had the OG Cartoon version though, but still love this. Might dye the robes and grab some extra clone armor to make one myself.

Absolutely wild to me that we are getting so much PT stuff. I never imagined I’d have two double bestas filled with PT figures and by 2024 I will lol.

This is because I sold my Anakin, twice, you’re welcome.

With that said, What have we here.....? Amazing. HT seems to be coming out swinging with this CW stuff, and I for one could not be more pleased. Might need this guy to go with Cody, since we seem to not be going to get any 212th ppl. Frenemies unite.

I wonder what the horrific price point on this is gonna be.

You do, then you realize your mistake five years later seeing all boxes piled up in multiple rooms. Time for decluttering!

Begun, the Clone Wars has ...

I love it, but I'm not sure I need it. I always preferred Obi-Wan's Clone Wars look over Anakin's, as the white armour and black undersuit of the Clones looked cool as ever, while the brown shades on his tunic and cape gave it an extra flair that really completed the look. Meanwhile Anakin's bluish tones blended together and looked dull, while not being helped by the mush uglier cut of his tunic and robes and the lack of gauntlets. TCW OWK looks properly armoured and cool, whereas Anakin looks like half a design. Anyway, eventually the lack of OWK and said design made me pass on that Anakin. The thing is, I've been holding out for a ROTS re-release for both of them in 2025. Do I jump on this now, and plan to display Obi-Wan with whatever Clones I get, while the eventual Anakin re-release will go with Chancellor Palpatine? Do I pass on it as I'm missing TCW Anakin? This is what I hate with characters who are part of duos, each figure goes with its companion and then a whole another set...
