I bet Sideshow is just happy to be able to take TCW Anakin off the extra bargain bin list.

Looks like he's gonna be worth the wait. Glad the competition has made Hot Toys adopt moving eyes as a standard feature. Should help get rid of figures with blank stares going forward.

Oh no. This figure being a mythical creature was the one reason why I never went in on the Clone Wars line. I mean now I have to at least get Anakin.

It looks better than OWK Kenobi.

The cynic in me feels it might also be about efficiency and numbers.

Since the sculpts must be one of the most time consuming parts of production, maybe it’s faster for the eyes to get done separately and popped into the sculpt.

Sideshow started doing that with their sculpts even though the eyes didn’t move.

They want you to buy Clone Trooper to replace animated parts with movie parts. Bad boy HT

I thought the whole arms part were that way and the clone ones were different D: I mean, at least that's the way it look on the "realistic" skin of Obi on Battlefront II

I'm doing my best to limit my collection in fear of opening the door too wide but this is certainly one exception I'm looking forward to displaying with Clone Wars Anakin, Ahsoka, and Rex.

Im not sure about this as an obiwan figure but as a figure in general this looks really cool. I dont have a big budget to drop on figures and still waiting for mando ahsoka, but this is tempting. But it will probably thankfully be a bit of time before this is released lol

He’s wearing Clone armor parts. So the full realistic version of his animated appearance should have realistic Clone armor.



BF2 did the same thing as Hot Toys and used the animated style armor despite the game being realistic which was a bit odd.

But Hot Toys already has an established line of realistic Clone figures from both film and animation so them not being more consistent is even odder.

Gentle Giant used the realistic armor. Hasbro did as well.

Still really excited for this figure though.

With his release is the 212th clones a possibility now?

Am I seeing right or have they modified / fixed the phase I helmet for clones? Question: do you think they have fixed this with the first batch of shiny’s, due for release?

Imagine TCW Anakin and Kenobi flanked by 3-4 Phase 1 Clones

It may just be the photographers poses but he looks a wee bit dumpy or cluncky to me. Still getting this but was really thinking this month would be kinda slow.

HTs product photos have been woefully dull for a while now. There's a specific point where their photo style changed and it just appears so... uninspired.

I hope this gives grounds for the beehive 212th to come out now.

Agreed.

Airborn trooper has been one of my favorite designs since Utapau! So unconventional but on design at the same time. While I think HT has dropped too many troop builders back to back, I would get many multiples of the 212th Airborn!
