Seeing as they showed a sculpted hair version. It safe to assume just like the price for The Batman it will be $500 for the rooted version and $350 for the sculpted one.

One eye higher than the other? I never noticed it with Viggo before but actually I can see it now just googling him. One of his eyes is higher and slants differently than the other. Wise of Inart to try to capture this, to not idealize.

Asymmetric eyes are surprisingly common. I know this because I see it in the mirror and look for it in other people so I know I'm not the only one who has it. :lol

Well, I was talking about how his left eye looks like it's open slightly more than his right. It's subtle, but you can see that the bottom edge of his left iris sits flush with the eyelid, but the bottom of his right iris is partially obscured by the eyelid.

To me it doesn't look like a mistake of the sculpt or the paintjob, but an intentional creative choice that I have to assume is based on a specific shot from the movie, but when I was googling around I couldn't find the matching shot. It doesn't appear to be a common thing Viggo does, in character or out.

In the Gandalf thread, when I was going over the small details like this, people thought I was unhappy or complaining, but it's the exact opposite lol. The sculpt is obviously fantastic, I just only like to join the conversation when I have something new to add, and usually that means focusing on tiny details nobody else is fussing over.

This sculpt is SPOT-ON to my eye. I had convinced myself that I wasn't going to get into the InArt LOTR figures and my finances breathed a big sigh of relief ... but dammit! This one is killing me! By far the best Viggo I've ever seen in a non-custom. And the hair work is fabulous. If that's even in the ballpark of what the finished figure will look like ... damn.

(Also, if you're talking facial asymmetry, check out Ryan Gossling. Didn't notice it for years, but once I did, I couldn't unsee it.)

Because of shipping, he'll now be closer to $600.

Gonna make $500 look gooooooooooooooooooooood.
This whole shipping fiasco won’t apply to the single release ‘standard’ figures. We’ve seen that the solo Joker comes in a regular 1/6 sized box. It’s probably just a bit heavier due to the foam.

I absolutely wouldn’t say no to a deluxe Aragorn two pack but I don’t think it’s really warranted with his Fellowship looks. A bunch of accessories will suffice.
They could do his council of Elrond look to really contrast the two figures but I don’t see that as being a particularly sort after figure- unless they also include a big ol’ shards of Narsil diorama…

Nah, I’m just expecting a single figure release here; rooted and sculpted.

I really love this one pose though so may have to consider double dipping and customising the battle damage and filth…

My guess is it's a InArt team taught by Viper. Same team that did the hairing for their 1:4 Ledger Joker is my guess.
You’re probably right. I believe Asmus did the same thing for their crown Gandalf figures if I remember correctly. Of course, InArt’s end result looks to exceed Asmus’ attempts, but still, I believe it was similar process of having trained ppl to do the hairing process.

Homie’s got posable eyes bruh

Sure but why not simply offer both as single packs then? I think not everyone wants multiples of same character as long as we can buy every version with rooted hair i'm good.
Single packs are fine too. I just want every possible variation of Aragorn's outfits, even when it hasn't changed that much!

I'm not going to lie, I'm definitely ordering at least three of these as it is haha 😅

I hope we can see real life in hand photos before preorder time. I know InArt delivered with Joker, but real faces are different than painted clown faces, especially hard to get right characters like viggo ;)

But I will be ordering one anyway
