IMO this lack of news isn't looking good for a Tobey figure, all I know is I've decided that if they don't make Tobey I'm not getting Doc Ock or Green Goblin, so I guess that's more money I'll give to Soosoo and JND instead lol
Way too early to rule anything out. Nobody knew they were in the movie at all two months ago! So it’ll take time to do licensing, get likeness rights, do prototyping, sculpting, etc

Keep in mind, Mandalorian Season 2 finished 14 months ago and we’re still getting figure reveals from that.

Oh that's a good point lol...I guess I'm still learning patience with them, I'll try to lighten up on my moody posts :]

Hawkeye figures are a strange omission at this point.

I am not really surprised I guess because we had a loki and sylvie teaser and nothing official for months. I still kate bishop is the only figure I would like though. I've had enough of Renner as hawkeye frankly.

HT makes every iteration of the main characters so that surprises me. There is just so much content now with the D+ shows and HBO Max that it is just going to jam pack every year now. Maybe HT stops the nonsense with off the wall exclusives like Armored Deadpool, Iron Strange and just fills up their Summer Showcase/Exclusives with streaming/movie figures.

I don't know why it would be the case but seems like everyone is way behind on Hawkeye figure wise, Marvel Legends has only teased renders at this point whereas their Multiverse of Madness line is already in stores. Might be a larger licensing issue holding things up in the pipeline, in addition to everything being out of order and ongoing worldwide logistics delays

I know many wanted them at the time, but Spider-Man then Book of Boba and now The Batman have completely overtaken the enthusiasm for it. Both will probably be back again and maybe in the same costumes. But HT hasn't skipped a D+ show yet. I could care less about either one, but it doesn't mean others don't. We did just get a Peacemaker figure though.

I think the delays are consistent across all of their releases right now. It seems like they're just struggling in every stage. It could come at any time honestly.

Yeah, when this stuff doesn’t ship for two years anyhow it’s not exactly striking while the iron’s hot whether figures are announced when a show/movie drops or 6 months later.

It's true. At this point I very much regret preordering the BD Iron Man from Endgame...ugh.

Both versions of this waitlisted on Sideshow. Another casualty to "early sellouts". We shall see if any of these eventually come back in stock, or are easy to find on release. But for now this is another in a largely increasing pile.

Surprised that this is waitlisted so far from release and with that headsculpt.
But then again I don't know how much to trust sideshow these days with their stock/order reporting as they seem to enjoy using FOMO as a selling tactic.

Totally understand collectors freaking out a bit, but no way Sideshow doesn't order additional figures for "In-Stock" status, same with a few recent Star Wars figures that have gone "waitlisted."

Hard to bring in new customers and collectors if everything is sold out prior to release.

one of the reasons I enjoy ordering from sideshow, aside from payment plans, is stuff is usually available until after release and reviews, and if I miss out, it’s usually been my own fault, if not budget.

Now it’s kinda like, are they just panic ******* me? Or has the market shrunk enough that they are going to have smaller batches

Prob

Probably true, but...I could see them trying to reduce the amount of excess they have in stock. Them trying to sell all the same products over and over again for months now is probably aggravating to them.

Yeah they'll definitely have a lower amount of stock, but no way will they not have army building characters for Star Wars (troopers, droids etc), and major characters like Boba Fett, Darth Vader, Doc Ock, Green Goblin, etc not available as In-Stock product.

The batches will be smaller though, and I think it'll go back to how it was, where figures will sell out in 1-3 months, besides a few "entry level" figures they might produce a bit more of.

This is one I would have pre-ordered had they shown an updated and better sculpt. Now I wonder if we’ll see any updates from Hot Toys before the figure is released and it becomes too late for Sideshow to increase their order.
