Thanks. I feel like I've heard this before. Maybe in the 89 Batman thread.

I've seen GeeWhiz's stuff. I know they'll do things to order but have they made Chewys bandolier before?

I'll have to check out Old Traveler Workshop though.

Thanks
Yes they have. But you need to send them yours which is an added cost I’m not fond of.

Not sure if Old Travelers workshop makes you send yours to him though. He also makes replacements for Han’s pants belt that I’ve thought about getting as well even though mine hasn’t flaked yet, feels like it’s almost a matter of time.

Hm. Now, why do you need to send them your own bandolier? Is it just to have an example to work from? If that was the reason you'd think they would just keep the blueprints from their previous constructions of the item.

That's what I always think as well but anytime I've GeeWhiz about doing "leather conversions" they mention you need to send them yours to keep it as close to the original as possible and fits correctly yet they have other stuff like they're Indy jackets that they make on demand without you needing to send them any previous version. But like you said, they should have the templates from previous works already so doesn't really make much sense to me either. Just how they operate I guess :dunno

One more question on these. It the finish gloss or matte?

As choombaz said they’re the same.

303 also comes in a small spritz bottle which is not the best value but easier to handle for figures. You really don’t need a lot.

They’re sold as wipes as well.

It leaves a matte finish. Water based dressings tend to leave a matte/satin new material like finish. It’s solvent based ones that are very shiny but also oily and greasy and wouldn’t be good for figures.

For this, he needs the original because he transfers the hard parts from the Hot Toys bandolier to the new one.

Yea that's Old Traveler's workshop I believe. He does fantastic work and it's more cost effective since I believe he's in Mexico so not as far to send unlike GeeWhiz who's in Singapore if I'm no mistaken.

EDIT: not as far to send if you’re in the US. Might be different for those outside of the US.

Yep, Old Traveler. He seems to do excellent work.

GeeWhiz does great work as well but they seem very expensive in general.

I have the ANH Han & Chewie boxed set but have been wanting another Chewie to display with my "Solo" film Han and finally was able to acquire this one for a decent price. I can still use yet another Chewie to display with either the SS Boushh Leia or with the soon to be released Bespin Han... :wink1:

Is an "Artisan" version in the future?... :horror

Just for old time's sake, here are some quick unboxing pics:
