Thanks mate

Fingers crossed JND will send a replacement. I’ve a email and usually you get a prompt reply

FedEx were a pain to deal with. £545 in customs and couldn’t pay by card due to not having an invoice created. The shipping box was pretty banged up when it arrived.

Ouch, that's £100 more than before for customs, did you get the duo set or that was just for single?

Perhaps the damage was from being banged up a bit? But then again I have seen a couple of posts with the same issue as you. Their boxes are chock full of protection all the way through to the statue so no idea how it's happening, hopefully they look into it for the future. But in regards to the head coming off the peg this sounds like a glue issue?

Glad you chose to keep this one, though. This will be your last or you going for any more?

The £545 charge was just for the single version.

The glue JND use does not appear to be the strongest from my experience as my Joker came with a loose leg. It’s not what you expect from a premium product.

Overall it’s the first JND statue that feels like a statue in terms of weight. It’s a stunning piece and IMHO it’s the first JND piece I feel is worth the money.

It’s Fabulous!

Received my Batman today and unfortunately the statue arrived with a paint scrape to the cowl and the unmasked head snapped off from the neck. Very disappointed as this is the fourth JND piece I have received with some form of issue

Overall its a beautiful statue, probably their best one yet. Its also very heavy
Same with mine. The silicone head is loose from the neck and keeps popping up when I push it down. Also the cowl is loose from the neck (is held in place by magnet). When I lift the the cowl up the eye piece falls out.

Is this the same for anyone else?

Just received it. Trust me when I say, pics do not do this justice. These headsculpts are hands down the best headsculpts I've ever seen in my life. Any shortcomings as far as accuracy goes are easily forgotten once you see these in real life.

The whole statue is absolutely mind blowing. It literally looks like a shrunken down Bale. The Bale sculpt is the closest thing you'll get to a shrunken down human head, it's that real.

I'll post up some pics later today. Unfortunately my Bruce head arrived broken. It still works, but it broke where the silicone head is joined to the neck. I could glue it back, but I've emailed JND to see what they can do.
Did you receive any reply from JND about your "broken neck"?

Yeah I did. They did offer to replace it, but in the end I just glued it and took some credit from them.

It wasn't really broken, but rather, the heads have a neck key in them shaped like a lightning bolt. This key is then glued into a hole in the collar piece. Mine was simply detached, with only a small piece broken off and stuck in the key hole. I just simply added glue to the hole and then pushed the head with key back in. Holds perfectly fine now.

Contact JND and they will help you.

The Bruce Wayne head has a polystone key inserted into the neck that is shaped like a lighting bolt. This actually comes out. Make sure it's in all the way.

Cheers for the links, think I've seen them all in the JND group on Facebook, looking incredible. Nice and clean setup you have!
I think your pictures have captured clearly why I think JND are the best around. Whether the likeness is off by 10% or whatever inaccuracies there are, you get nice lighting and it actually looks like you have that character in 1/3 in your room.

The presence he has is amazing.

Also the eyes being wider don't look a problem, with the position of his cowl tilt the eye slits look like they cover them enough to give them impression.
Agree 100%. I would rather have something that has a 90% likeness but looks incredibly realistic, over something that has perfect likeness but still looks like a toy.

The eyes are fine. Someone asked me if he is bug eyed and the answer is no. They are in scale, he just doesn't have the signature Bale squint, but as you said, the cowl and the angle of the head covers them somewhat, giving tbe illusion of smaller eyes. I have zero complaints.

Presence is absolutely amazing.

Your unmasked head isn't actually broken just FYI. It's a super simple fix, mine was the same.

The unmasked head has a lightning bolt shaped neck key inserted into the neck. That is glued into the hole in your picture. It's become detached during transit...same thing happened to mine.

Just ensure the neck key is inserted all the way into the neck, fill the hole with a bit of super glue and re-insert it. It's what I did and it's solid (was shaking the head up and down and the neck piece didn't fall off).

JND can replace if you want to go down this route, however I think they will ask you to return your original head so you'll be waiting a while. For this reason, I chose to just repair it and took $50 credit.

@xpl0sive you need to get more than $50 credit with how your handling this for JND
Haha agreed. In fairness they did offer to replace mine, but I chose to repair it instead as I didn't want to go through the process of replacing it, as you could end up with a worse one, or another broken one.

I quite liked my head, just that the peg was broken. I figured I could try repair it myself and if it didn't work I would then get JND to replace it.

It's a fragile design which can be prone to breaking during shipping. Would probably hold better with epoxy instead of super glue.

Agree though, I should have been given more than 50 bucks lol.

My Cowl head is exactly the same

Contacted JND and received a reply that they will look at my issue in regards to the paint defect on the cowl.

Hopefully a replacement head will be available.

For those still waiting for their Batman I can honestly say it’s one of the best statues ever produced regardless of anyones concerns of inaccuracies

Glad you're liking it, I know your feelings on Joker and WW so even more excited now for this. Very happy I decided against HQ and made sure to keep him. January can't come soon enough!
How are you feeling with the chest design? I'll need to see it in hand to see how it pops and works overall, I feel like they took a very high artistic license with it but in order for the statue to really pop (IMO if the suit was kept with the dull it could get lost amongst the crowd potentially), is it bothersome to you?

It does not bother me as in hand it does not pop as much as it does when you see photos. In hand it looks better to the human eye in terms of the facial likeness than any photo I have seen.

I am just impatiently wanting a replacement head to be arranged as it took the whole shine off receiving this statue along with having to deal with FedEx

Hopefully next time around will be a lot smoother, fingers crossed for you that JND sort it out rapidly.

Will this release mean you get stuff like The Batman down the line now?

JND are going to send a replacement Cowl head which is excellent

I may be tempted by either a Keaton Batman or Returns Catwoman.

IMHO JND produce the best movie statues by far but I have had rotten luck with minor QC issues

Yeah they do need to keep their QC tighter I think. I noticed the other day on two parts of my WW84 on the legs there's paint missing from the top of the patterns, not noticeable from viewing distance, but still...

Great news on the head!

I agree with fett, in hand the chest design isn't really an issue IMO. The carbon fibre underlay has a lot of depth to it, and for some reason cameras really pick it up and exaggerate it.

In hand it looks so different. I literally just pointed my phone camera at it now and couldn't believe how different it looks on camera compared to real life.

The only thing I would say is still somewhat of an issue in hand (depending on your perspective) is the glossy finish over the carbon fibre.

This part to me seems like more of an artistic decision to make those parts stand out a little bit from the rest of the suit design and make the statue overall stand out a little compared to other Bale statues as you said. Personally I actually like it even though it's inaccurate. It just adds an element of interest and depth to the statue so it's not just simply all black.

You definitely made the right decision choosing this over Harley Quinn IMO. I think it's their best statue yet. It's the closest in terms of likeness and the overall quality is fantastic.
