Just seen Dean Knight is getting the figure for the review. That will be brutal!

Is there anyway to get rid of the shine? If not I can't even use a new cape and cowl on the figure. The 2011 is actually better, how the hell is that even possible!
I’ve been watching Dean’s channel for 7 years. His is the only opinion that matters when it comes to Batman begins, so I can’t wait for him to verbally murder this pile of crap when other reviewers will hump hot toys’ nuts and say this is a great figure.

A part of me still hopes it can turn into something good as I really need a 1/6 Begins figure but most likely not this one. I’ve seen awesome custom heads but I’m not paying a million dollars for a damn headsculpt.

With as shiny as the suit is I just don’t know how much of this figure can be salvaged even with custom additions. You shouldn’t have to add $400-500 additional dollars to a figure to make it look like it should. This is a complete embarrassment and shows how little concern Hot Toys has for their collector base.

Buying this to customize it is pointless. Theres nothing to salvage from this figure so its best to see about finding another way to get a proper begins figure

That's just lazy....

That's what I can't get. Why not produce definite Ras (which was never produced, but they obviously got the license on Leams' likeness for SW) and Crane (with both scarecrow and Crane headsculpts). Why not make a completely new BB suit, even if copying 1/4 effort?

Yeah it is a bit befuddling HT made QGJ, but no Ra's so far (of course I can only speculate how licensing/processes work out). I'd definitely pick up a new Scarecrow figure with an unmasked Crane head sculpt! I frickin' love the 1/4 figure, and agree a downscaled version would have been a better attempt instead of a rerelease of an old figure.

Hmmmm, I think it looks ok, based on these good pics of it. I don't mind the shininess of the suit, since in some scenes to me it looked that way. Actually, I think it looks serviceable with the first night out gear! Even though the 1/4 BB comes with accessories to recreate that scene, I'm not sure I would prefer to have one of my 1/4 BB figures displayed with it. However, I may be tempted to pick this one up to have that scene represented! :D

That’s not how licensing works. Just b/c they got it for a Star Wars character, it doesn’t transfer over from one property to another.

That said, they did sculpt Ras with Liam’s likeness into the base of the 1/4 TDK Batman reissue so they probably do have the rights to make a Ras figure, they just won’t.

Why becomes the bigger question. It's one of their most mystifying omissions. They made John Blake for chrissakes.

Not to mention Alfred, Commissioner Gordon, Two-Face, Scarecrow (albeit a long time ago) :lol Come to think it, they made just about every major character but Ra's. (& Lucious lol)

So sad that this seems to be the pinnacle of what Hot Toys can do with Batman Begins, it's just another lazy rehash.

Last year a client sent me a custom BB sculpt for me to paint, I'm not sure where it came from (Unreal Customs maybe?) but I was impressed by it, here was my work:

Those who follow the jokor and doc brown thread will know there is a rising trend of more people jumping on the customs wagon. Hot toys does not seem to cut it anymore and this hobby is getting expensive to the point that it is not sustainable anymore.
