I guarantee a company could release a photo of an actual film still of an actor or actress, say it’s a statue, and someone somewhere will say ‘likeness is off’

Morgan, congratulations! You almost got them.
Some of the lighting on these pictures looks really off putting, but the ones that are sharper look really really great, I think it’s like a 90% likeness or so on those. I agree with many though. Dany is similar to Padme and Leia in that there are so many different outfits to choose from, but there are a select few that immediately come to mind when you think of the character. The Dothraki Light Blue Dress, the Snow Queen S7 look, and the white gown on throne that Prime 1 went with are the first three that pop into my head. Don’t know if many would have picked this one.
As for buying…I’m a big Emilia Clarke fan but not enough to drop 5k on this. It’s very impressive though to me from afar.

The more I look at it the worse it gets. I dunno maybe because her face is fresh in my head due to rewatching earlier seasons. But it's just a weird likeness.

That's a really good way to describe it. It's somehow too soft and that softness isn't translating the sculpt well at all. It's obvious who it is because of the dragons and the hair but in isolation, the face doesn't sell it for me.

Some people are swearing it's spot on clarke. However, just because we can tell who it is, doesn't make it a good likeness

I think aside from a small bit of error on the nose shape, the rest is accurate. It's a great piece.
and IS said that they are still refining it, so good news for the buyers.

The grey pictures definitely reveal the fault with the likeness which is the nose. It kind of has the 'cosplayer who looks pretty close to Emilia Clarke' look about it. That's okay, they have time, and I hope they fix it because I would love to admire a truly incredible life size recreation from the torso up of one of my favourite actresses.

the right way is of course to show the refined sculpt before the preorder window is closed.. but we all know that is such a rarity..

Infinity is tweaking it still, I’m not worried. If anyone wants a Dany bust I’m sure this will be the only one coming. I wouldn’t sleep on it.
