The Expedition Lara got some very positive feedback on the BBICN forum. And I'm not sure if MT ever hangs around on this forum, but she's gotten very positive feedback on here too. So unless MT's changed their minds after the Elden Ring stuff not selling too well, then with a little bit of luck maybe they're still working on some version of the classic Lara that RRX mentioned before. 🤞

And while I am looking forward to getting my Expedition Lara, I still find myself wishing they could have made her likeness just a little more game accurate. She still looks a bit...off to me.

*edit Aannd just got my invoice from Giantoy! We should be seeing some overseas unboxing any day now. 😎

Elden Ring game is popular now but it doesn't have 30 + years fandom,not surprised figures don't sell well, Lara is a totally different story, while this figure doesn't capture her iconic appearance, it's still Lara and everyone wants her. She's an icon. I agree with likeness, it is there but also not there. However MT released sculpts are always very pretty, so I believe final one is better. Wonder what they did with hair they were going to rework. Based on popularity of this one they definitely need to make classic Lara,her outfit is simpler so not a very hard figure to make. Just use a proper body.

I was expecting an update on the sculpt upon release or something. Even checked the BBICN thread, but it's been all quiet on there for some time now. Oh well, I'm just happy that someone other than SWtoys is finally taking a shot at the Tomb Raider franchise. Although I'm still thankful for the SW TR stuff we did get, it was just weird to see they were the only ones making 1/6 scale TR figures. Like they had an exclusive contract or something. lol
I wouldn't mind seeing a Master Team/Lim collab on a classic Lara. I have a feeling sales would do very well for that figure!

I don't own any previous 1/6 Lara releases simply bc didn't like them. This gonna be my first one,I love MT figures, have their Witcher line and Hitman,they are all great.Especially love how they do faces, male and female characters both are super beautiful,with some animated hint on, which I love. I'm not into hyper realistic stuff. MT/LIM collab Lara would be a definitive Lara!!! PLEASE!!! :pray:
 
I read a Facebook post yesterday saying that Giantoy had sent them the final invoice for this figure, so she must be imminent.

Can't find the post now but I think it was on Let Your Geek Sideshow, which means it would've been deleted for two reasons (bootleg and rival company).

Sooooooo… based on the plethora of gifs I got in response to my post I’m guessing there are no 1/6 Lara Croft figures based on the reboot game that are licensed?

Yeah, I was invoiced for the balance by Giantoy last week and it's shipping today as well. My last shipment from them only took 7 calendar days to arrive but that was back in September. I imagine it'll be longer than that this time of year.

I'm out of town 12/23-12/25 so that's my only concern. If it looks like this or other stuff I have on the way might arrive in that window I'll just have my mail held at the Post Office for those days.
