Does this figure even have glasses? They didn't even bother to plug those holes on the sides?

Just realized they didn't even bother to fill out the holes....HT wth is this    this just went from okay to an all timer bad for me.
A damn 3rd recasting party company would have and given more crap...smh

I just got notification that my disappointment has been delayed. I only live 2 hours away from SS too.
My tracking updated from just being a label to an origin scan in Van Nuys. Hopefully it’ll hit me in Hollywood before I have to leave for the evening tomorrow.

How does this release (with it's warts) impact the forthcoming BTTF V2 Delorean?

My guess the same silly decisions by HT on that release---just compounded by the fact that the flight mode wheel positions looked off in the pre-order pictures--you know HTs will screw the pooch on this too...right?
As someone who took their Delorean apart, I can tell you little will change between releases. All the mouldings and fittings were in the first version, so they planned the MK2 flying Delorean at the same time. Makes sense. Saves retooling. I’ve not looked at the gripes with MK2, but I doubt wheel positions etc would change on something that’s already made. People with MK1 Deloreans can look at the underside to see the mouldings for the wheels that rotate etc. it’s all there. I thought about modifying mine to be both versions.

They didn't stated in the ad that there will be fixing on the wheels so.... yeah nope, you get what you saw.

Y'now what would be awesome? If HT had offered the clothes and accessories as an optional upgrade pack to people who already have the Pt II Doc, how cool would that be?

:exactly:

They upgraded the Battision sculpt after the preorder was up, and they fixed the Tony Stank sculpt after release, but Doc Brown is from a movie that came out in 1985 and most of the collectors and influencers are young or only care about the next new big thing. I don't think enough people will complain to get Hot Toys to care.
They only updated the Pattinson head because of Inart

Would not make sense for them to do that since most of the work and cost went into that they can only sell it as a figure

I agree this sculpt isn't great. But isn't this exactly what was solicited during the pre-order window? It always appeared to use the same sculpt from MMS380. So why are people surprised now? I don't get it. It's not like HT promised anything else. Where is this idea that the sculpt was going to be "improved" coming from?

It's not only the head sculpt. Also the look and the material of the suit...

Someone somewhere will print a 3D kit that converts the old ones and make the MK2 look correct.

Most hot toys collectors are in the 20s I think from a poll I saw
If that was a Facebook poll then it’s more likely just evidence of selection bias as the majority of people who would take part in such a poll will be in their 20s.

Just like how a recent Facebook poll showing that 80% of collectors thought Hot Toys had the best The Batman is evidence that the majority of Facebook users are tribalistic morons incapable of reasonable objectivity.
