Have they posted any other shots of the front?
This asymmetry is what I’m curious about:

Lol, that's just a shadow - if you see other pictures not lit from the right you can see the symmetry.

i think what throws me off with this statue is how wide eye bale is under the mask instead of the nice squint he usually has

Agreed, would have added to the piece for sure.

In the end, does it look like this?

Nope.

Is there any other statue or toy that looks as close to this or more than JND? In my opinion, no, not that I've seen, and none certainly come as far as looking as real.

I understand the passion for accuracies etc. depends what we're all looking for in collectibles I guess. When we're talking precision as opposed to accuracy, such as this is an accurate Batman, it's not precisely accurate down to every mm and curvature being exact, but for what it offers in what no one else is offering in this price range I'm not going to miss out on it because of it not being 100% fool proof.

Although I do hope JND, wherever all the vocal people are, take notes and go that little bit further. They as a company already do I feel, already met most of their promises even through Covid whereas other companies fall.

I hope some of you do get to see one in person, maybe the realism of it will tip you over the edge for making a small concession for not being 100%.

I have no skin in this game, but I will say, I never understood when ppl would say "__company name__ cowl is off" until OT made his custom and now it's something I can't unsee :lol

That said, I think there's a catch 22 sometimes where ignorance really is bliss in this hobby even though lots of times we're chasing accuracy b/c then you can enjoy almost any piece for what it is rather than would it should/could be. I know sometimes I find more joy in the pieces that I know nothing about their costumes, construction etc.

I worry about if/when JND shows off their Cavill Superman b/c I've had the fully assembled screen costumes for MoS and BvS right before my eyes and know so much about their construction that, in a similar vein to how OT feels about this TDK Batman piece, I may end up not happy with what I see JND produce either, no matter how nice it actually looks. Time will tell though as they seem to improve with each piece they make.

I think that's fair enough mate. I just also think at some point it becomes a little cutting off your nose to spite your own face, as the only time you'll be satisfied with that approach is having a model made exactly from the files or moulds used from screen, as seemingly OT has done with the Batman masks.

If I thought along those lines I wouldn't spend anything over the 100 quid mark, not even a Hot Toy. But for me, I'm not in the replica game, I want an authentic representation of a favourite character looking as real as possible. Ignorance is bliss for me, for sure. But I also don't over study costumes etc. For me, it'd be a different story obviously if the colour is too far astray or a difference design or just really not accurate. If I can look at it and my brain says yes, that's the actor playing that character and it looks like they've walked from the film that suits me.

How much leeway will you give to them in regards to Superman? Looking at their previous lines they're pretty detailed and spot on, but are you talking if the S logo is a few mm up or down?

I was once going to get the Prime 1 Superman because it looked very nice from the proto, but it came out and it looks very much like a statue without the quality of what the film looks like. As long as the quality is at max, proportions are good, likeness etc. and overall above 90% that's what sways me. I imagine the teases will come out in the next week or two. I need to think hard about it because I'd love to own Superman but with maybe a bank robber Joker, Affleck Batman on the cards next year I need to pick and choose. Hopefully it's the MoS Superman so I don't need to worry about it. :')

Also, another good look at Batman:

I asked them to ship mine on the 28th so you'll be getting your before me! Should take a week or so in my experience to the UK from them.

This is the best this set has looked IMO, if I didn't have my customs I would probably have copped

Just received it. Trust me when I say, pics do not do this justice. These headsculpts are hands down the best headsculpts I've ever seen in my life. Any shortcomings as far as accuracy goes are easily forgotten once you see these in real life.

The whole statue is absolutely mind blowing. It literally looks like a shrunken down Bale. The Bale sculpt is the closest thing you'll get to a shrunken down human head, it's that real.

I'll post up some pics later today. Unfortunately my Bruce head arrived broken. It still works, but it broke where the silicone head is joined to the neck. I could glue it back, but I've emailed JND to see what they can do.

Oh, the ones on the cowled head look like they’re posed differently I thought maybe you could more them.
Would be nice, but nah. They're just looking straight on. Probably look a little different due to lighting. Incredibly nice eyeballs though. Very detailed. Would have been better if the eye sockets were a little smaller, but the mask somewhat makes the eyes appear smaller.

Hi, thanks for the photos.
how do your eyeballs look, too big?
skin tone looks maybe too light.
maybe they went too far with the "redness" effect on the face, it looks too marked in the ears.
How does the cape look in your hand?

No problem. Eyeballs on the cowl sculpt are a little big, but not bug eyed. They look normal, it just doesn't have the squint look that Bale is known for. It still looks good though, and because they are deep, the cowl covers a bit of it, making them look smaller.

Skin tone is a little light agree. They did over-do it with the redness. It looks incredibly realistic, the most realistic paint I've ever seen, but I just don't think Bale had much redness. In saying that, it's a little exaggerated in my photos. In hand it's not that red.

The cape is the only issue I have with this figure. I don't think it's good at all. The material sucks, and is a little hard to adjust. It works, but it's not as nice as the Queen Studios cape.

thanks for the opinion. It corresponds to the idea that I got even if I don't have the statue in my hand. I've always reported the eyes issue and the cape in particular to Jnd but they only focused on Bale's sculpt. They have excellent tailoring and I don't understand how they didn't use a more faithful material for that cape. They've done a great job, but it's a shame they haven't corrected and improved those two aspects.
Jnd should ship a better cape given the price of the statue.
Also the Queen's cape has always appeared to me imprecise and not of quality material.
