Finally received mine (after being stuck with FedEx for 4 days 😐) and can definitely echo everyone's thoughts here; Asmus knocked it out of the park with this release! Beautiful sculpt, rooting, outfit, accessories and of course Shadowfax is gorgeous. His staff is made from wood too (not the intricate top) which is a nice touch! It would have been nice to get the palantir, his grey elven cloak and of course his pipe but I'm not complaining :)

That said, I'm looking forward to adjusting it to my liking; water treating the clothes, adding a bit of mud and grime weathering (the movie costumes is actually very grubby!). I'll also add some body and ankle padding so the vest and boots fit better.

Overall it's a gorgeous set straight out of the box though and I'm glad I ordered when I did. Thankfully I didn't have to pay any customs charges on it's arrival in the UK and my usual supplier here hasn't even listed it for sale yet so win win!

Ok..update
My Crown GtW arrived this morning,NOT my Deluxe Legolas!!!
Holy sheet!
Awesome that you’re wife stepped up for you. On a side note. My wife collects Hallmark ornaments. She doesn’t pay too much mind to my collection. When I showed her Gandalf she was really impressed. She asked how much it was and I told her expecting a gasp or an eye roll. She didn’t bat an eye and said it looked like it was worth it.

I still don't know how to explain Inart Joker and GtW to my wife yet...

I agree with you that some weathering would be nice. I've also thought of somehow darkening his vest and inner robes, as they may be a bit too white - a more creamy white would fit better with the rest of the outfit - maybe a bath in some coffee diluted in water. I'm quite scared to ruin the whole thing though, so I may just leave it as is for the time being.

All pics taken today!!
I had 3 figures to open within 4 hours between school drop off and pickup.
Crazy weather outside too but managed some light.
These are all unfutzed, straight out of the box pics.
GTW is a phenomenal figure.
Shadowfax is insane and has heft.
Can't believe I own a 1/6th horse!!!
Congrats @Asmus for an amazing figure set!!!

‘Gandalf the grey... that’s what they used to call me.. I’m Gandalf the white! ‘
Near perfect represention of the character, can definitely see why collectors are praising this one.
my pics don't do the set justice and the lighting was poor due to storms in the area.
The sculpt is fantastic to me.
I should probably put Legolas on Shadowfax at some point.lol

This is a beauty. Odd they made it so exclusive to purchase, but kudos to the faithful that had the opportunity.

I have a feeling they might make some more of these at some point. I would bet they were hedging based on GtG sales numbers and some of the backlash that figure got. But based on the almost universal praise they've received for this guy, it just seems like bad business not to make some more once they have the space in their production pipeline.

I don't have any inside knowledge, but it would feel like leaving a lot of money on the table to not make some more down the road.
