Thanks god I sold Marty some months ago and the entirely HT collection... That recicled headsculpt with the same holes for the glasses says it all. Horrible Hot Toys.
And if InArt with his figures is not doing good in 2023 I will left the hobby. I'm just tired of this things.

I had my part 2 set for sale but now considering keeping and selling part 1. I remember seeing a cool custom sculpt.
It's a shame no 3rd party company has done Doc.

Nobody is talking about the thin belt that is holding the outfit together is made of pleather or at least it looks that way?? Thats a huge fail and on another note sideshow said the arms bend 90 degrees so maybe it has single joints also. Did they make this as bad as they could on purpose?

Seriously, Christopher Lloyd has such an amazing face. So much potential for an awesome 1/6 headsculpt. The expression on the left would have been great if HT put any effort into this.
NECA did numerous headsculpts and a big variety of expressions most of which were highly convincing - Hot Toys did one mediocre BTTF II sculpt years ago and now see fit to use that same sculpt again for BTTF I without even filling in the slots for the shades he didn't wear with this outfit. Weak.

I'm getting mine since i know HT must be inspired by this picture alone for the reference of the head sculpt right to the seemingly missing teeth haha.
Never own the BTTF II version so i can't complaint much other than a couple details, but I do understand for those who feel cheapened by HT. But one question though: HT has stated that they won't change the head sculpt with a new one, just upgrading the paint apps. Of all people, you guys know what you're getting into, then why you order it in the first place and seemingly surprised now?
Problem is
" Newly painted sculpt" it's not even newly painted it looks 100% the same. It's just bs and a shoddy effort on hot toys part.

That head was lousy on the PTII version and it's even more lousy on the PTI version.

I think it's a combination of a few things-- 1) HT have indeed tweaked final sculpts on some figures before. 2) The holes for the glasses not being patched up. 3) The cheap Devo suit material. 4) Paint apps looks as flat and lifeless as the previous release and 5) Rising living cost compared to when he was up for PO.

A guy of Facebook made this side-by-side of the Neca version and posted it to HT.
I've asked the vendor about cancelling mine.
Normally, I look at a headsculpt and it grows on me. This is the first time it's gotten worse.
