Asmus Toys: Boromir

I need at least one extra head to make a Gondorian armour Boromir.

Will have to wait for comparisons before I know if the original rooted head is worth updating.

Is the new head offered w/ rooted head?

I was lucky to steal a head off our insepction line and replace it on my old Boromir,
Gota say the figure came back to life !

The sculpt is a success, unfortunately I won't get it since it's no rooted hair.

I like it! Definitely a must buy for me.

Much improved likeness and paint apps!

Looks fine. Paint seems a little flat in those shots, but that's probably the lighting washing it out. I'm not blown away by the likeness, but I'll pick up extra head (I already have the original version). We'll see how it looks in hand.

Sorry, not feeling it from those photos at all. Like my haired one much better (is that Ming?) a rare pass for me...

It is an improvement I guess but unfortunately not as good as the recent Old Bilbo and Gandalf the White.

I passed on the first iteration of Boromir but I'll grab this one.
Hoping for an Osgiliath version down the line.

i have the rooted one... from these pictures it doesn't seems such an upgrade from the version i have...

I have also rooted haired V.1 (and I love it) and judging from these pics I wouldn't say that this new one is an upgrade neither.
Let's give Asmus some time and see what they will finally offer.

I will buy this to give Asmus my support but I’m a little disappointed by the likeness. I don’t see much of Sean Bean there. Hoping it’s just the photos and it’ll look better in new pictures, but if that’s it, it does feel a step down from Bilbo and Gandalf. But I’ll wait and see.

What they’re showing now is what we’ll get: that’s their new business model. So no tweaking or improvements.
And I agree with what others have said, I don’t see this as an upgrade over my V1 rooted version.
