Not filling the holes in the head is utterly ridiculous and underlines that this was clearly a lazy money grab.

It's incredible that they've managed to make the expression completely devoid of life or personality, when the actor himself has one of the most expressive, unique and easily caricatured faces. I just googled Doc Brown figures and basically every one I found except for the funko pop was able to capture his personality and expressiveness better than this. How lazy to use the same old flawed head.
This is the only Doc expression I really need. Nothing all that complicated, just him with those crazy eyes of his looking very alarmed about something.

Why does the box have that "Outatime 85" logo on it?

I mean, 1. That's the BTTF 2 DeLorean and 2. Isn't connected to the original release at all.. is it? seems random.

I know it's the least thing to complain about but I'm doing it anyway.

Don’t forget that nearly everything that HT have done with this license has been random.

One decent not great Marty in 2015
One ok not great Delorean in 2016
Another decent Marty in 2017 and a very poor Doc
Five years later and an ok but slightly questionable Marty in 2022 with a dodgy Einstein
And now another dodgy Doc

So those Part III figures and the II Delorean are going to be amazing!!

Seriously that headsculpt is terrible for this variant. It was ok for Future Doc, but not for this one. Is there any alternative out there? Is Inigou or anyone else working on a Doc sculpt?
Yeah, it's so poor from HT it really is! They can produce a Gazillion Iron Man figs and tons of Marvel stuff that no one will care about in a couple of years, never mind 35 but one of the most iconic movies of the 20th century they can't even give us a new sculpt.
Maybe a new Doc sculpt will be made available, but HT really are a disgrace for letting this happen, I wish I had not already paid for mine because I would be voting with my feet on this one.

Hello, I have this preordered. Deluxe.

I am happy I am finally getting this figure, almost 10 years later, after I got Marty.

I was already expecting no improvement on the headsculpt, but the suit... what did they do with the suit material? It's worse than the proto.

Very poor choice of material.

It doesn't look like a material that would shrink, something that may improve the feel of the suit, which out of the box seems too large and stiff.

I hope that at least I can put some wrinkles in it!

Honestly Idk why HT bothers, either drop the licence and give it to someone who cares or at least try to make a decent figure, with new sculpt.
A cheapo third-party company could do better.
It’s kind of sh!tty to say this, but if Present Toy totally recasted this figure and release it. I’m 100% sure they would have tried to change, give us a new sculpt and just more effort than what HT have given here.
