Obviously he's right and I would guess that you aren't the audience he's aiming at. I think he's always said that 1/6 Trek's problem has always been that it's not viable if you only target your hardcore base so the noise is really to try and attract those who aren't normally listening.
Don't agree with your statement, sorry. It's the opposite. Only the hardcore crowd follow his personal page so as to get a heads-up on releases. That's who he's talking to. 'Normal' people/collectors will wait for the emails and maybe follow the EXO-6 FB page. He's overhyping the core group, maybe partly through fear of the figures not having a big enough base to sell out. After all, that's why he did a smaller run.

He's also said these will hit four figures in price. If that's not hyperbole, I dont know what is.

Congrats mate. Mine seems to have been on 3 flights so far and the last update was yesterday saying “Plane has landed”, but no suggestion of where it may have landed!!! ☹️
You'll get it next week for sure. Mine was also stuck on “Plane has landed” for four days before I finally got an email from Royal Mail. Then it was delivered the next day.

EXO-6 is still moving forward like no other 1/6 companies. Nanjin is holding cards very close to his chest and playing them well. He kept surprising me with unexpected releases. Looking forward to some new preorders or even immediate sales.

It was all deliberate over hype/marketing from Nanjin.

On TMP, he said things like "Will these figures ever happen again in our lifetime?", "Will other figure producers charge extra because TMP has high demand characters?" (High demand, not low), "Hurry up!", "Don't miss out," etc and then once they'd sold out, he said, "Don't feel regret if you missed TMP, TWOK can compensate."

I try to only pay attention to his announcements about preorders now. The rest, to me, is noise.
He did push it very hard, but I didn't really read anything shady into it. It came across to me more like just wanting to emphasize to people how incredibly limited this run was going to be, and that we better not hesitate to order right away if we wanted one. And I expect he'll do the same with all the other limited figures as well.

I think "shady" is a strong word. I didn't say that. I was agreeing with some others here that he hyped them up more than needed.

Well from EXO-6 stand point, they cleared their own stock within 1 or 2 hours. I see that as very successful. I also agreed that he knew the quantity was small and he stuck his head out to warn people about the release. Normally for high demand figures like this, producers would do presale to maximize profit. EXO-6 didn't, and seems like Nanjin knew this all along.

Anyone aware that EXO-6 never promoted within the general 1/6 market? But they had lots of activities and promotions with the Star Trek fan base. Comparing Mission Chicago and SDCC is obvious. They even worked with Kate Mulgrew and Doug Jones. All the major Star Trek fans groups know EXO-6. But within general 1/6 collectors, no one knows about EXO-6.

I'm still waiting for confirmation from Planet Action figures. Blame Brexit. I blame that for everything.
Mine came direct and arrived on Tuesday - Im eagerly awaiting Sisko from Planet Action Figures but right now they are still waiting for their stock to arrive.

Wonder if Archer is one of those “torpedos” - wasn’t he supposed to be done this month?

Anyone else in the US buy Kirk directly but not get him yet? I find this SF tracking to be sadly inadequate.

My Kirk has been waiting at Heathrow Sorting Centre since Monday. Hopefully turns up soon. There have been some delays with the Royal Mail strikes.

Mine spent 2 days in Avenel, NJ and has now spent 3 days in Orlando, FL. I live about 1-1/2hrs from Orlando so, I’ve just been patiently waiting the last 2 days. Really hoping he shows up this weekend before I have to go back to work on Monday.
