Is Williams still doing the score for this? He said TROS would be his last SW score…he didn’t say anything about Indy :sneaky:

My predictions:

- Opening sequence will be the best part
- Mads will make a great villain
- Space race program/time travel explosive finale will be better than aliens
- The girl won't be as bad as we think, but she will certainly over-stay her welcome
- Other than the de-aged opening, you will not be able to take your eyes off Harrison's age or believe most of what he's doing
- The underwater sequence will be the only sequence that feels fresh
- The Streets of New York action sequence will have lots of action and lots of CGI Ford heads

Whether this is "Jurassic World" or "Jurassic World Dominion" only you can decide.

I just hope he doesn’t use guns against any of the Nazi’s because Indy should be able to defeat the Nazi regime by not fighting what he hates but by saving what he loves.
OMG he's going to have to make out with them all!?

LOL Although the lack of gun and over use of CG are are legit concern (did he have it in Crystal Skull?) I think like Andor the same people are mis reading this Director's intent and goal.
This like Andor I don't think is surrendered to the Disney Story Group who are determined to "fix" (by that i mean take the balls off) everything they never liked abt Lucas SW/Jones anyway.
I'm guessing like Gilroy, Mangold was more keep your hands off! To the Disney Story Group agenda, and wants to do his own thing, and give a legit and heroic denouement to the character (and to Ford).
Not "fix" him for the Disney agenda.
Albeit unlike Andor (which I thought was excellent on a whole other level ), this will have all the easy quick pace and fun over-the-top swashbuckling.

I wonder if Hot Toys will make a young Indy figure? Or better yet, a "DX" figure with a young AND an old Indy head.

It's about the only good thing that can possibly come out of this film getting made.

Look, how about not insulting people who's opinions differ with yours, and stick to the topic of Indy 5.
Note: I do not come in here and insult people who liked the trailer.
How about if Freaks wait for the movie to come out first before posting an opinion "that it sucks" or anything else negative before they've had a chance to see it?

As I posted earlier, even though the trailer failed to get me interested in Indy 5, it did make me want to rewatch Raiders, which I did. Watched it with my son for the first time after school today.
Temple of Doom tomorrow and Last Crusade on Sunday I think.
Indy 5 though, I think I'll probably wait for the D+ release.
That's the thing with these Disney movies, they all end up on D+ so unless I really want to see it, I just wait a short while and there you go.

I’m really surprised how many people in this thread and others are skipping the cinema more and more. There is no way I’m not seeing this in the cinema, it’s a completely different experience I don’t care how big people’s tv’s are. I’ve seen every Indy movie good and bad at the cinema and that ain’t going to change. As an aside, Raiders is a religious experience for me at the cinema. Cinema is going to bite the big one eventually, hopefully not in my lifetime.

Yeah was in theaters for the first, and though they've been progressively worse, and Crystal Skull has me guarded against yet another, I'll still be in theaters for this one. Love the character.

And that they are acknowledging his age. The opportunity to change something in time (if that's the case), and likely the need to let it go.
Seems like the most legit thing to explore with this character at his age, about digging up and surviving the powers of the past, and when to let go. One of the best lessons passed on from his father.
Don't get the whining and jokes about his age, or about the possible time anomaly artifact as the fantastic Mcguffin quest.
All seem like legit elements to explore. I respect the director, I'll gladly see how/if they pull it off (and in the Theater) , before condemning it.

I guess I’m lucky in a way, Imax is a short drive, prices haven’t gone crazy and their loyalty deals and staff are great. God bless Imax.
