You almost predicted the title :lol

...the Dial of Destiny!

Nope. Still don't like it.

Based on the trailer, the best I can hope for now is a mixed bag of goods.

Mads, Mangold, Nazis, space race, underwater, de-aged opening sequence -- all pluses.

Old Man Ford, time travel, that woman, that tie, "grandpa" jokes, the title, Disney -- all negatives.

How it shakes out, is all up to Mangold.

Someone really thought 'I know what Indiana Jones is missing! Time travel!'

Take me back to Raiders and the Last Crusade please, and I say that as a big fan of Mangold's work (he's no Spielberg but he's made incredible stuff between Logan and Walk the Line especially). This concept just feels like a non-starter immediately.

Looks like another snoozefest, pretty on par with Indiana Jokes.

Edit: that was surprisingly a typo but I'm leaving it.

I don't hate the time travel idea nearly as much as space aliens... but it's still not great. All I can hope is that they somehow keep it more on the mystical side instead of having Indy literally time travel into the past.

Dail of Destiny. So...where are the Dial Soap tie-ins? "Get clean with Dial for your destiny"

I wish that were a joke but...probably not.

It's a busy. messy trailer. REALLY do NOT like the "time travel" idea. The ultimate hack-writer's "go to" when they have nothing new to say.
Just mere seconds on the screen and I already hate Fleabag. Maybe Kate Capshaw should get the "Thank You" card ready to send to Fleabag for becoming more screechy and irritating than her character was in TOD. I have a sinking feeling this movie may have a few "moments" but still be really bad.

I hope it's at least watchable.

Why do they always do these ****ing carhorn renditions of the main music themes in the trailers for returning franchises?

I'm sure they did it with one or all of the Star Wars trailers, Jurassic Park Lost Dominion or whatever it was called butchered that music theme in its trailer, the trailer for the Willow series did it, wtf. Who thinks that sounds good? Just use the actual ****ing scoring by the actual composer.

What's bizarre to me is current movie going audiences are probably seeing trailers for Cocaine Bear. And that has people in general more excited than another Indiana Jones film.

Who are we kidding... head to head.. that Cocaine Bear movie would likely win the box office against Indy.

This might sound like blasphemy to some, but I would have been OK with using Indy like Dr Who or James Bond. Rotate different actors. I'd really like to see Cruise, Denzel, Hanks and a few others take a crack at being Indy in widely different adventures.

In terms of "time travel", I can see only one functional reason - To reboot a new trilogy. It's how movie studios think these days, in terms of how to get a few franchise going. It's not enough to make a swan song film, it has to try to force a new generation. That's where a lot of Blade 3 failed ( one of many reasons), so much focus on creating new franchise type characters, that they didn't seal off the legacy character's story.

I don't like the time travel either. Works in plenty of things but not Indiana Jones.

Nice to finally have a clear version of the trailer, but it's still not wowing me very much. Just a montage of random action sequences that don't feel all that Indy to me.
Yeeeah...I don't know what to make of it.
I will say Ford looks great though, and like he's barely aged at all since Indy 4. Unlike in the ST where he looked absolutely ancient.
I noticed that too. He looked and sounded way older in the ST.

I think the trailer just confirmed the time travel nonsense. That is something I'll never accept in an Indiana Jones movie. The CGI Ford in the horse riding through the parade scene looked horrible. I can't believe they thought the CGI looked good enough to include in the trailer, hasn't this movie been sitting around for awhile, could they not try and fix those effects?

Did you know that dentists recommend using liquid Dial soup for cleaning dentures?
