This one is a hard pass for me.

It very much seems like they've abandoned the spirit of the original movie and are using the name brand to tell a generic 2020s era YA fantasy story that reflects modern day LA/NYC/London.

Watched the first episode. I've never seen the original movie so no expectations, but it's just not very good. The writing is pretty poor and it looks like the budget for this was probably not very much. The fight choreography is some of the worst I've seen in anything.

Man and I was just coming back in to update my post to add “Well at least Disney can make fun of themselves” and it was gone in sixty seconds :) Impressive for my only ever sociopolitical comment on this forum.

Well, it was pretty funny when they literally stuck him in a hollowed out teddy bear in that episode of "Life's Too Short."

Warwick Davis cannot act, his most convincing performance was in a teddy bear costume with no spoken lines.
You need to watch "Life's Too Short" before standing by that comment. Not saying he's a great actor, but he is great in that. Hysterical show. I'm sure the poor script/writing and Director(s) for this trash didn't help any either. And he probably just did it for the money.

Not many roles out there for Warwick. And he's no Peter Dinklage... :lol
