Arthy is getting third re-release in 2023? Just saw on onesixthkit, maybe it's time to preorder more ? lol

FEW MOMENTS LATER:
Preordered one more, have 2 already. 3 is new 1 :1-1:

Sickly sculpt coming, third figure is justified.
Right?
Right?

Did LIM TOYS release official photos for the 3rd mid-beard sculpt? I couldn't find one when making this master sheet to see how the different heads. I don't think anyone's released more than a couple of heads before... so LIM rocks :)

4 heads, 2 hair choices, 2 hat choices!

Mid beard is my fav !

I change my Arthur with the seasons. Come December 1st it's time for the full beard and winter coat 👍🏻
That’s what’s great about these figures, they come with so many options, you can tell a story with your display.
Right now I’m waiting for the John figure so my Arthur is on display, looking for John. Once John is here, I’ll change the pose again.

This is the first 1/6 figure that I ordered (which got me into 1/6 collecting), and as long as I waited for my two Arthurs to arrive, I still haven't opened them yet. Plan to do that sometime here in the next few weeks, along with about 5 other figures. Looks great through the packaging though.

Edit: Just saw there is going to be a third release. I might have to buy another one with all of the different options.

You could also leave him in that pose, waiting for LENNYYY!

speaking of the body, is there anyway to remove the ratchets in his hip joints? I really enjoy the stability but have trouble getting a pose I enjoy as the legs are always either too close together or too far apart.

I finally got my Arthur futzed properly. I ended up putting some padded pants from a HT figure on the legs it looks even better now and the belt sits better also so it doesn't drop so much because of the hips. I also futzed the holsters and satchel to look more accurate. I still need to weather the pants but it's good for now.

This might be a stupid question but I've only been buying these for a few months

Since theyve already made batches before why is this preorder for a year from now? They already have the sculpts. Is it the painting that takes so long?

It's not really that simple. R_R_X is the expert in so he'll probably weight in, but the sculpt is just part of it. Once they cast it, they need to paint it, yes. But they need to make all of the bodies, all of the clothes, all of the accessories. Packaging the sheer amount of stuff that comes with this figure takes time, as well as quality control/inspection. Plus, you're at the mercy of how quickly the factory can work based on the volume of orders that they get.

Plus, in this hobby, having extra time going into production is definitely a good thing. It usually means they're committed to getting everything right and not rushing things to get it out the door.
