Quark's lobes seem slightly off. The inner 'wrinkles' don't seem to match. Hopefully final paint-up will help add definition and make it seem a bit closer. The rear of his head also looks massive...hopefully that's just the angle making it seem bigger.

Quark is a definite buy for me either way, but fingers crossed he's not a disappointment. His clothes look fab.

That surreptitious little smile would have been perfect for this sculpt. I think it’s the open mouth throwing me off more than anything else atm

I hope sales numbers make Nanjin reconsider the possibility of early season versions of at least the DS9 Starfleet crew. I think he was very dismissive of the idea in part because he is an old school TOS Trekkie at heart.

I highly advise anyone on the fence not to sleep on Quark. He might not be a “Main” character you feel you must have, but he is just so unique and iconic that he will add immeasurable presence and personality to your collection that I’d call him a must have.

In much the same way the Goblins an Dobby set off my my Harry Potter collection, Quark will do wonders for your DS9/Star Trek display, and there will almost certainly never be a Quark v2.

One Jedi Master’s opinion…

Yeah I do think the massive head in back is a big part of what's throwing things off. And they didn't capture that very distinctive lower jaw Shimmerman had. But oh well, it's still a must have figure regardless.

Yeah - those and the mouth being too open (as mentioned above) is what's throwing me too.

Disappointing given he is one of my fave DS9 characters. I truly don't care if the costume is the right colours etc. etc., but for goodness sake deliver your A-game when it comes to the sculpt.

Regardless - I couldn't hit the "preorder" button at BBTS fast enough . . . my poor keyboard never knew what hit it.
