They’ll send a new body but I will need to smash up the existing one and send photos to show its unusable. The idea of that makes me a bit sick to be honest. Just seems a shame when I’d rather just send it back.

Updates: There are definitely issues with the body. You can see the attached photos. Much of this explains the problems I’m seeing here. I suspect that the reason that the arms can snap at the joint is because the padded tummy and straps get caught in the arm socket which makes it unmovable, which in turn makes you think that you have to apply undue force to bend them. I stripped this down and upon doing so, a plastic piece fell out and no more rattling. It seems pointless really. I will attempt to put everything back in place and avoid this smashing up process. There are also jagged pieces of plastic at the elbow joints which rub on the fabric and these really could do with being shaved down, which I’ll also attempt with a nail file or something. Will update once I’ve gotten everything back in place.

A thoroughly unpleasant experience which made me think twice about ordering these fancy editions. After stripping, I filed down the sharp elbows, so they no longer catch on the shirt (a piece was previously caught inside) and I replaced the shirt with the non-zip version, as that makes more sense with the traditional jacket than they way he comes packed. It really is no fun at all swapping out these parts as they simply feel too delicate. At least now his shoulders move a bit more, so if anyone else has issues, maybe take a look at removing the shirt and adjusting the straps on his padded tummy.

So this is it. I’ll be keeping it and I am not messing about any more.

I’ve never heard of a request like this before, odd request to ask of the customer. Did they include a disclaimer to wear safety glasses as well? ;)

Seems simpler to send a return label.

I hope your next purchase is more enjoyable.

They were pleasant enough to deal with but they said that due to the expense of sending out replacements they took a leaf out of Sideshow’s book. Fair enough.

At the end of the day, I didn’t have the heart to ruin something that didn’t seem entirely unusable. I get it if something turned up broken but most of what I found was salvageable. Idid have to make some fixes, which I shouldn’t have had to do but I can put up with it now and hopefully the next one will be stress-free :D

His complexion changes back and forth, from the pics that I've seen.

I don't know why but the few photos of the figure that have been released give me an impression that he may be a little too tall. Hopefully it is just the camera giving that impression.

Can't wait to add this Ferengi to the collection!

Gotta say I'm still not convinced by this Quark sculpt (and he doesn't seem nearly orange enough), but hopefully it's another one that will look much better in hand. Of course he's one of my favorite DS9 characters so no way I could ever pass him up.

Looks quite different from the prototype which I thought was spot on.

It just looks like there’s a camera filter applied. Hopefully we’ll see more very soon. I’m kinda with you though. He’s another I’d really like but I can’t help but feel that these finished sculpts just aren’t quite cutting it lately. If only I had your paint app skills :D

Sideshow used to make you do the same thing. Not sure if they still do. It definitely feels wrong smashing a figure to bits but it is the cheapest route for them. There is nothing they can do with it if it is defective so why pay for shipping it back.

On another note, hopefully the replacement body is sturdy for you. The Sisko I received is as sturdy as all of the others I have from EXO. None of mine really need the stands but I use them on some of them because I am a little paranoid of the kids (or myself) bumping into the shelf or figure and sending it flying. Honestly the company that has the worst ankles in my experience has been Hot Toys oddly enough. No clue if I just happen to get all their weak ankles figures or if it is a common issue but I don’t have a single Hot Toys figure I trust to stay out without a stand.

Thanks, but I chose not to do it. I will keep it and I told them to close the ticket. The replied by saying “But it’s defective and no good” but it’s not really. It has things I can put up with now, but I had to spend an hour or so fiddling around with bits and pieces that I don’t think anyone should have to. At all times, you feel like something is about to break or tear, which put me off ever wanting to change the uniform again.

He looks perfectly fine on display and any gripes left, well those are things I hope Exo can improve upon in the future.

I realise I had a good old rant here but appreciate the kind feedback.

Th ears were too pointy and the chin jut out too far. The facial expression fit Quark better, though.
Yeah looks like they did make a few improvements, but I'm still not seeing much Armin Shimmerman in there, and it just looks like a generic Ferengi at the moment. But we'll see this Friday when more pics go up...

I’m happy to be getting Quark, but not the best timing between TMP Kirk and Spock plus the holidays.
Buy Kirk for yourself and Spock for the wife, problem solved! It’s about giving after all. ;)

I gave up Kirk and Spock, will likely cancel Sisko too.

Exo 6 are too fast, something I never thought I would say in this hobby.
