Yes we did, but I don't mind. It's keeping the conversation going with this cool set...

The diamyo is ready for an evening audience...

I love all the beautiful pics everyone keeps posting! I'm still very impatiently waiting for my local store to get this guy instock so I can use my store credit to pick him up. :impatient:

We went through this a couple pages back. The texture is definitely still there on the real thing it's just not as coarse looking as it's represented on the figure.

I stand corrected!

I took another look and yes, you can REALLY see the exact same pattern of weathering/rust/wear on the repainted armor. Hot Toys replicated the exact pattern really well...but I agree that they just made it a TAD too coarse. It shouldn't stand out quite as much.

You can really see it best in these shots where he's piloting the Slave 1:

Then there's the shot that drives me nuts. There's a brief cutaway to Fett in the episode "The Believer" which happens AFTER he's repainted his armor....but he's clearly wearing the WRONG belt (bullet belt) and you can see the sleeves/shoulder armor are wrong, too (robes instead of shirt sleeves.)

Must have been some kind of pick-up shot and they used the wrong costume parts. How could they let this happen?? Don't they know this kind of thing drives obsessive fans absolutely crazy???

I'm having one hell of a time getting the neck piece out to put the unhelmeted portrait in. Any tips?
I thought it was going to be impossible for a while but I managed to grip with thumb and forefinger as low down as possible and give it a good pull. It came out to my surprise.

I used more of the side of my forefinger further down the finger than the tip. It worked better. If you get what I mean?

Use a hair dryer to heat it up, then pull, just like you would on some of the wrist and ankle pegs. Should be a lot easier.

Thanks, will try. Was just watching a few reviews and I'm so confused how it just slides out like nothing. Very frustrating.

Yeah, I tried all combinations over the course of a couple of hours. I think it's just abnormally tight or something. I had the same issue with the missile and the jetpack... could barely get it to go in, and now I don't think it's going to come out.

EDIT: The hairdryer isn't helping at all. I legit think there's something wrong here.

Cant believe that me, the queen of "they -have- to have that helmet off" is going to leave the helmet on for this one. I am sure that sculpt will come in handy later though.

I have had this guy for a week. I really need to at least check him before the return window passes.
