**** head Kevin Smith swore black and blue that He-Man was going to be the center of his new "version" and gee - what happened there - he lied, killed off He-Man and Skelator and made the whole series about the women, and the fans crucified him. And to form, he shed some victim tears.
You don't need to be a rocket scientist to know this film is going to be a dud. The last was a joke/embarrassment and even back then in 08 Ford was waaaaay too old in this role, so at nearly 80 it's going to be even worse. Time travel, young and old Indy, Waller-Bridge... Really?
I'd rather beat my **** with hammer than watch this cash-grab.
But each to their own...

It's sad, but I still find myself disappointed by Crystal Skull, even all these years later.
As for this one, my expectations are relatively in check. Disney hasn't had the best, let alone new or interesting track record when it comes to these sequels with legacies. Time will tell.
We all know nothing they make will be as good as the original trilogy.

Lucas and Spielberg have said several times that Indy is a product of the age they are in.
1920’s Mystical/mythological
1940’s Cults and New continents
1950’s Sci Fi
so…..i guess 1960 is time travel.
Maybe time travel is supposed to be in quotes. Indy is gunna do some LSD and "time travel". That would be 60s.

Three huge problems
1) There's not much room left to take the original Indy character. I mean at some point a character has run out of rope in terms of his possible development.
2) Harrison Ford is ancient
3) Harrison Ford has a horrible combination of
A) An actor who resents acting, shows it all the time, and just mails in every performance. The last time he looked like he bothered to care was The Fugitive.
And
B) A performer who has been exposed over time. Most people here grew up with Ford, so his acting flaws were probably overlooked. But as time moved on, and as the level of acting skill has grown around Hollywood and more films/TV have become far more sophisticated, it's become more and more clear that Ford is a passable though past his prime "movie star" but just not a very good actor.
When you suck when you show up and it's clear you don't want to show up, what's left?
I'm OK with Ford not being the greatest actor in the world. But I'm not OK with just not giving a damn at all. People are paying to be entertained, and it's clear he resents having to entertain anyone. That's your job, ****** nozzle.
The only value Ford presents to me now is hoping he does cameos where he dies. I hope he's cast in a sequel to Final Destination mixed in with the Groundhog Day concept. He keeps coming back to die in creative ways.
I wish he didn't come back for the new Star Wars films. Not that those films were great. But he infected them further with his Don't Care/Don't Try/Who Cares/Screw You vibe. At least he could have left Star Wars fans with the fond memories of when he gave some kind of effort.

In spite of his age, Ford is still in great physical condition. In that regard, he's most definitely not phoning it in.
