Remember when Asmus said they’d be taking pictures of the new Boromir sculpt and sharing them tomorrow…

He looks good from what I can tell.

Little vericose veins on the thighs, too. Impressive...

The shoulders still look a bit worrisome to me, and he looks like he might have gained a few pounds, but i'm all in for the deluxe set.

These figures will be hard-pressed to top the NECA figure.

Scale-wise, Asmus should be an improvement.

Fair.

Sculpt and paint-detail-wise, Asmus had probably lost before they’d even begun.

If you don’t criticise their weakness, they’ll never improve- and neither Gollum and Sméagol sculpts looked particularly accurate.

They’ve sculpted a pretty great looking Gandalf The White and ditched the rolling eyes due to criticism. Sadly they’ve painted him like they were staining a garden fence so, unless you want a Haldir in black face, you should let Asmus know where they’re going wrong as well.

I have higher expectations for this now after seeing Gandalf and what Asmus is capable of.

Fingers crossed this is the 2nd of this NEW level... rather than last of the old.

Agreed. And the fact that they mentioned going back for additional tweaks is a good sign. (I think I read that here...)

Yep, that's what I'm hoping.

Any news on when this will release? It should be this month right?

As far as I know the online orders are out of the factory and now travel by sea to our office for shipping~

I paid the pre order amount for Sméagol last year and it says I have outstanding payment but can’t pay until item is back in stock, is anyone else the same ?
