Hot Toys 1/6 figure Black Adam (Deluxe) + Golden Armor

Maybe only the first appearance suits have the light up.

I was holding off to see Inart’s version but now that Hot Toys has added the cape to the gold version, I will probably preorder it this weekend.
Now Hot Toys has to offer Captain Marvel (Shazam) from his upcoming film. Those 2 need to be displayed together.

I like the cloak better, no matter how screen inaccurate it is

Yeah I was already leaning more towards the black version anyway, but this seals it for me. All-black with the cloak just looks so much more badass than this final outfit.

I just wish Inart would hurry up and preview theirs so I can decide which company to go with.

Cool that they added the cape for those who are getting that version. Extra accessories are always welcome

Yeah, all black seems to be the way to go. I'm ping-ponging back and forth with gold or black

Kind of like the black but I feel like if there are more films the black and gold look will be more representative of the character (just a guess and he’ll probably get a slight revamp but still).

I ended up ordering the gold version. I hope the cape is removable. It looks fine, but I still prefer the cloak or even no cape to this one. Cloak/cape aside, I think the gold armor looks better imo, more comic booky.

Think I might just go ahead and pull the trigger on the HT figure. I'm guessing the Inart will be the black and gold outfit, and I don't care enough about the character to spend $500+ anyway...

Doesn't really change anything for me, still want the figure, might order the black suit once some more reward points hit from Alter Ego, I don't really have any issue if its a one and done representation, it still looks like an awesome figure and the headsculpt of Rock is insane

I mean, I'm still getting the WW84 figure and she's done too. Good figures are good figures, in my book. Even if the movies are bad and no sequels are planned.

Nope. The movie universe may be in shambles and disarray, but I'm not passing on good figures.

That would be like cancelling a perfectly good Cavill Witcher figure because he’s no longer playing the role.

So finally saw Black Adam in HBO last night with my wife. I really wanted to like the film but I thought it was fairly underwhelming. My wife who usually is pretty kind in her assessment of films said she thought it was a disjointed mess. Unfortunately I couldn’t disagree with her about Black Adam, it was not good.

That said, I still think this figure looks really cool and I am looking forward to when it is ready to ship. So, would I rather that the film was good, sure bk it probably would have made me even more excited about the figure. But more importantly, I think Black Adam is an interesting character and the figure looks great and I think/hope it will look good in my collection. My collection so far is overwhelmingly MCU, but I do want to have a small DC collection so Black Adam could fit in well.

DC figures I currently have:
BvS Batman, JL Superman, General Zod

DC on P.O: Wonder Woman (1984), Cyborg, Black Adam, Joker (InArt), Deathknell, Black Manta

DC when/if produced: Flash, Aquaman II, Green Lantern, Dr. Fate, I would also like another super powered DC villain.

So ultimately I hope that Black Adam will fit in well with this little DC section I am planning for my collection.

Wish hot toys made him, but this figure looks good as well.
