She sure went fast for so many criticisms. I wonder how many are resellers that only looked at the higher aftermarket price of Gambit.

I went with TNS. I've thankfully haven't had an issue ordering from them in the past. Hopefully this won't be the first bad experience like some had with Gambit 🤞

not too bummed I missed out on her since she's so fug

wonder who soosoo will make next... i'm guessing wolverine or cyclops.
Unless you're talking 90's/classic costumes specifically, Wolverine is next but in his Old Man Logan look.

Can’t say that thought didn't cross my mind, especially considering how cheep she is for a limited figure of a popular character.

You’re practically guaranteed to make a decent profit immediately after release despite her funkiness so I’d imagine a lot of people bought two just to flip one.

Yeah, I guess I debated with myself about this too long. I had been looking forward to this since getting the Cajun Card Dealer. There are quite a few things I like about this Rogue figure but the sort of loose costume and the boots made me waiver. Looks like the decision has been made for me since it is sold out now. I was going to go ahead and purchase it tonight :)

Congrats to everyone who was able to order one!

Probably selfish of me, but even though I do actually like my Sideshow figures, I would love to see SooSoo's take on Cyclops and tiger stripe Wolverine. Obviously, I want all the unmade figures as well (especially Jean since we have a Rogue now), but as a pretty big Cyclops fan, I selfishly want another version of him as well. Sort of one of those times that just b/c I like the Sideshow Gambit more than the SooSoo, it doesn't mean that I'll like all Sideshow over SooSoo's offerings.

Giantoy, OneSixthKit, and KGHobby are my trusted vendors.
I used to order from TNS, with no problem the first and second times, but then the third time there are some issues and I contacted them, they did not reply for weeks, and I keep chasing and we finally settled the problem. The conversation was rather polite, but much later when I realized my 4th order item was shipping soon, I tried to check the order status only to find out that they have completely deleted my account. I inquired about it only to get a replying saying "since you seem to have issues with us with your last order, we believe you would not want to deal with us anymore so we have canceled all your orders and banned your account". I was totally in shock, as there is no communication, nor any refund on the deposits of the upcoming orders. I have to chase them down for another few weeks before they refunded me, but I have to scramble to re-order the stuff that they canceled me. And I have never bought from them again. I feel that they are just like ToysWonderland, that you might be ok with them as long as there are no issues. But once any hiccups happened, good luck in getting things resolved quickly.

Did you have any trouble paying from a credit card? I keep trying but it gets an error and cancels.
Their site is a bit confusing when you get to the payment section. I found out you have to enter the 20% deposit amount (in MYR — about $25 USD) into the box and then it’ll let you fill out the rest.

Seems that it is a 3D authentication failure that is stopping the payment. Checked KGhobby and she was listed again so went ahead and ordered there.

Just ordered through KGhobby. While the figure itself looks only ok, I think she’ll look great with Gambit. And if I end up not liking final product, I’ll just sell both Rogue and Gambit and hope for a Mafex Rogue to go with the rest of my Mafex X-Men team.

I broke down and did the same thing, but I went with TNS when KGHobby was (initially) sold out. I still have many concerns about this figure, but I am curious to see how she turns out and how she pairs with Gambit. Worst case, I'll sell them both off as well (except I have the X-team in Marvel Legends... I couldn't justify the upgrade to Mafex for so many characters).

Yeah, I love the Mafex X-Men figures that I got but ML is also great, especially at the price point. Luckily I didn’t collect ML so I just dove in Mafex since they look so good.

As for SooSoo Gambit, I still have him sealed new in the box and haven’t even opened him yet. If Rogue turns out bad, it’ll be an easy sell with Gambit and I’ll re-coop all my money so the Rogue purchase is a no brainer for me.
