After getting the local tracking number for the head yesterday morning there were updates on Evri saying "We've got it" and that they there were processing the parcel at their hub.

Ironically though, the original SpeedPAK tracking is now giving more information than Evri.

Much better. And the plastic too. What an odd choice for DT to go for a wax like, translucent material. Must have been cheaper or something.

I wonder, how are these knock offs produced? I can’t imagine people in a factory actually hand painting these, or do they? At that price? Either they are way too cheap, or Hot Toys and the like are too expensive.
But ok, HT has the R&D cost, so they should cost more.

I guess someone recast it and then comision the paint job to a factory (probably) , prices are subject to batches and quality

mine is still in china 😔I should have ordered 2 cause my android hunter custom also needs one 😬

Well, it’s not too late to order a second one. The head is still available from Ebay.
Don’t sleep on this if you’re on the fence, guys. A custom paint job could cost you at least 5x as much and it might not even look this good. Soon the “last one” might be the last one for real 😂

Not sure if you guys have seen it but 357 did a incredible repaint of the dark toys. On the right is the original buffy.

The head arrived.

The difference is like night and day compared to the semi-translucent, jaundiced original.

The casting's sharp and the paint even has the effect of bringing out more of the detail.
Well, any pics? 😆

None that are really worth sharing. :lol

The days at the moment are like extensions of night. When I started typing this I'd taken dozens of photos. All the ones with the flash were killed by the flash, and those without were dark and fuzzy.

Then I tried holding the camera at angles where the flash wasn't hitting the face so directly, and these were the best of those:

Just like yesterday struggling with Threezero's Dustin, Deckard would need to be lit properly to show the sculpt off.

Overall I must've taken about two hundred shots. Click, check, delete, over and over. It's been even more of a waste of time than usual!

All that matters is that it's a sculpt painted to the standard that should've been expected from Dark Toys/Redman in the first place. It looks human, or replicant, rather than the unconvincing artificial lifeform that Dark Toys supplied. :lol

Mine arrived while I was out of town. I just opened the package now and am in agreement with everyone so far that this sculpt is a winner.

Significantly better than the stock head sculpt.

I will say that when I first saw it, it gave me more of an "Indy" vibe than a Deckkard.

Definitely understandable. I think it might be the subtle 5 o'clock shadow

While waiting for the new head to arrive, i went and weathered up the shoes and added some feet and socks.

My only nitpick with the shoes is that they're made from very thick rigid plastic, so they need some heating up before fitting the feet.
